bruin-rocks
I love L.A. Noire. The setting and time period, the gameplay, the vehicles, so much about the game. If I enjoy L.A. Noire, will I enjoy this as well?

AJ_Radio
It’s not the same as LA Noire. Mafia: Definitive Edition takes place in the Prohibition Era (1920s - early 1930s), crime was running out of control. You’re basically a part of the Mafia helping other criminals. Watch Boardwalk Empire, it’s a good representation of what happened in this time period. For a modern take, you have the Sopranos. LA Noire takes place during the Post War Boom (Late 1940s), economy was thriving, crime was significantly lower and you’re a cop/detective who is trying to reduce crime and reduce corruption in the LAPD. Historically there were a lot of changes between the period that Mafia: Definitive Edition is set in and the period that LA Noire was set in. They play very differently. I remember a lot of kids returned their copies of LA Noire back to the retailers because they thought it would be another GTA.

Puppeter04
L.A. Noire was a masterpiece, new tech used that time, Mafia is wonderful, same 40-50s feels but comparing them is disrespectful ?
Elekidcore
If you've played the Godfather games (PS2/Xbox 180 + PS3/Xbox 360 gen consoles), they're like that, but better. It's like if GTA was about the Italian-American mob, only less raunchy or lewd like GTA is. It's got a good story. All three do, in fact. Definitely worth playing. I also agree that LA Noire was amazing.
