What is your greatest achievement in gaming?

Honestly, I don’t have that much I’m overly proud of. I’m quite proud of my Mirror’s Edge 100% however. 90 stars was a huge pain.

Overcoming the defeat of spending 2 hours clearing out Yharnam's streets only to die and see everyone respawned and feeling absolutely defeated to platinuming Demon's Souls to Sekiro.

Probably not my greatest moment but it's the first thing that came to mind after seeing this thread. Getting as far as I did in Wipeout HD makes me happy. I only have 1 race left to get the Elite Legend trophy and that cursed Beat Zico trophy. I haven't given up! Having a full living Dex is also very nice, with multiple shinies. Got a Yveltal after 7 resets lol.

Two things come to mind

First : getting the #1 fastest platinum trophy achiever in Furi

I consider it in my top 5 favourite games ever so getting #1 was satisfying 😅

Second : sadly I can't post images here but I did a glitchless speedrun of Dark Souls 2 in about 4h 50minutes

Beating over 100 JRPG's, even if it did take 3 decades and 13 systems.

Which race are you missing? If you can gold all the Elite races, you can pretty much beat Zico. You’re very close to getting the plat, think about those who didn’t get the chance to do the online trophies before they shut down the servers, for you it’s still obtainable - you got this!

Empty Pockets on Orcs Must Die. Not exactly "hard" but it it took mental fortitude I didn't think I had.

I would also like to solemnly add getting 18th place on Expert Guitar, Guitar Hero 5 Wii, Rammstein's 'Du Hast'.

Fucking scenes, lads.

Even if it wasn't very hard, I'd say winning a speedrunning competition in God's Trigger in a coop with a friend. We won 2 gaming laptops in that competition and our time was so good the developers said they couldn't beat it :D

Don't really have one as I don't challenge myself. I guess beating nearly all Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne bosses first try.

My proudest moments were when I was a kid. Beating Altered Beast and Sonic for the first time. Being the first kid in school to collect all 150 Pokemon on game boy. Collecting all 120 stars in Mario, beating Goldeneye on OO Agent and unlocking all time trial related cheats. Beating the campaign, getting all coins and unlocking TT in DKR etc.

Beating Bloodborne at BL4 (no level ups, chalice dungeons and DLC included). It was a great moment but fml I wouldn't do it again, way too stressful.

Beating  a mate to platinum on Red dead redemption ps3 years after it came out.

And watching my 5year old son memorize chapter 3 of hello neighbor after watching me playtghrough it only once + checkpoint restarts.

Totally blew me away.

Probably not that impressive but I held over 39 WR on Driveclub for the campaign and single tracks including the drift challenges. Loved that game so much.

I won a couple of daily online tournaments in Everybody's Golf on the Vita. One of few games I've played until I was pretty good.

honestly this may sound kinda lame but, getting my mother into gaming. i take care of my mother and she lives with me. i do my gaming in the living room and she sits there and watches. its like a movie for her. she's always commenting on the story or somehting. "Oh i hope you kill that a$$hole." etc etc. she's often disappointed when i stop for the night cause she wants to know what happens next. its a cool bonding experience and its the highlight of my day.

Yeah that has to be the sweetest thing I’ve ever read on this site. @hittheroadbucky took the words out of my mouth.

My proudest accomplishment has to be beating Wolfenstein II on Mein Leben. Back when I got the game I didn’t really keep an eye on trophy lists when new games came out and had no idea what I was getting myself into. I just loved The New Order so much that I put it on my Christmas list and got it as a gift. Then after I played through the story I checked a trophy guide and was astonished to see it get like a 9-9.5/10 difficulty. I quickly realized why. The courthouse section alone had given me so much trouble on my first playthrough on a lower difficulty (granted without knowing any strategies or having a good grasp of the lean mechanic). I thought there was no way I could do it because you can die so quickly in that game.

Then after dropping the game for about month and playing around on I Am Death Incarnate difficulty I decided to just go for it. Most of the game is pretty consistent if you learn good strategies and then practice enough to be able to react when things go wrong. I got discouraged at first because on my initial attempts I kept dying pretty early and had some doubts if I could do it. But I kept practicing and the first time I got past the courthouse on an attempt I beat the entire thing. I was so close to dying to Engel though after the final boss that I was utterly terrified. My palms kept getting so sweaty in the later parts of the game because of how nervous I was of messing up that I had to keep a small towel next to me lol. You can lose up to 4+ hours of progress with any given death (unless you’re speedrunning, but that’s insanity). I was so happy when the trophy finally popped because I doubted myself and never thought I could do it. It just goes to show the power of perseverance and dedication.

1. Killing Kil'jaden and completing the Sunwell Pleatau Raid at the end of burning crusade. I legit cried we killed him.

2. Making it into the top 500 trophy leaderboards during the PS3 era with no imports/easy Japanese games. It's also one of my biggest regrets as well, for obvious reasons.

Doesn't take much for any monster to kill you. Really have to show a bit of skill and finesse to survive the game at that low of level.
