Another lackluster month for me in ps3 and with it another empty update, i barely turn on the ps3 twice in the whole month to try to do some trophies for Persona 4 but my internet refused to cooperate and after a bunch of disconnections I gave up, so my progress was null as I spend the rest of my free time finishing up some PS NOW titles that I had downloaded and my time with them was about to run out.

I have Catherine in my list, I've done everything except the Babel levels which keep kicking my ass last year and had to take a break from it, need to sit down and really practice with my partner (as in two player mode you need less steps and I think the last one is unobtainable in single player) but we might not be able to do them. But hell I got all year, I can dream of that platinum even if it ends up that I lack the skill, reflexes or patience to get it ?. It is a fun game, but my gosh that mode is stressful, at least in the regular levels you can learn the pattern and go over and over until you nail it.

• Prince of Persia: 0% >  - First plat of 2021!! Knocked this out as I was feeling a little tired of grindy plats. Played this back on ps2 so it was fantastic playing through this again for me. I forgot how much I enjoy the banter between the two in these games. This also became my newest fastest plat.
• Sacred 3: 15%>17% - Finished the Deity difficulty play through. Still having trouble finding people to do the MP.
• Ghost Recon Future Soldier: 48%>51%: Found a group doing the Mp so im back trying to finish the online stuff 

Left Yakuza 3 for most of the month as i wanted a break from the grindy stuff. Probably spent most time playing ps4 this month so my backlog was neglected a bit. The ps3 issues on PSN are a bit concerning atm as its affecting so many games. Hopefully they fix it or theres going to many incomplete games left on my list. Also, server closure  at the end of April for Defiance was announced so ps3 will get more attention this month as I want to try and finish this.

Finally finished a second game!   Definitely didn't help that my first two games were obnoxiously long in regards to trying to get a lot of games wrapped up.  At the very least, only game remaining on my list that is a long grindfest is one I haven't started yet and that's Mugen Souls.  Probably not going to be insane enough to even consider trying to finish that one up before this event ends though.

 

Next game up is going to be Rune Factory.  Definitely want to make some good progress in those below 20% games since that will also help me make good progress in boosting my completion some more.  Should hopefully take less time as well since it's a long plat, but more like 100 hours rather than the 150 and 200+ that were my previous games.  Though it is also possible that I might just try to catch a break and go play Flower since that's supposed to be pretty short and relaxing and would be an easy game to knock off the backlog.

Four months into the event and I FINALLY have my first completed game/s with the Mass Effect trilogy all 100%'d today. Mass Effect being my first platinum since May of last year, which is the longest gap since I started hunting and Mass Effect 3 also setting a record of 7 years and 11 months completion, but that record won't last long...

 

Mass Effect plat was a chore doing another two full playthroughs this month. It hasn't aged very well, specifically the side missions with the Mako driving and repetitive level design but this is unsurprising due to the age of the game and the sequels learnt and improved on these aspects.

 

 

All remaining trophies are now under 15% rarity so won't be many left that are quick or easy.

 

 

Next month - Concentrating on games from Metal Gear Solid and BioShock series.

Been working on Tales of Symphonia very slowly, but my plan is to get one of my older unfinished plats (almost 6 years now) done this month.  Gonna tackle Lego Batman 3 starting this week and try to do at least one of my backlogged Lego games a month (thank heavens PS Now has a bunch of them) while I finish Tales.  Should be a nice way to break up the 4-5 playthroughs of that.

In February I added 2 new games to the backlog: Castlevania Lords of Shadow 1 and 2.

I've advanced MGS V trophy list to 35% and Bioshock Infinite to 98%. In the racing genre, I've got the platinums for Supercar Challenge and Ferrari Challenge.

No new platinums for Feb but I did finish up the story on Alice: Madness Returns.

What's left for the base game is mostly:

• Collectible cleanup, and
• Beating a few bosses without taking damage

I played the game on hard mode so the latter sounds difficult - but it might be easier than I think on Easy. I think it's cheese-able with a DLC dress, which can make you invulnerable for a time - but  i want to try do it legit first.

 

Then onto the DLC trophs.

 

In March I'm gonna be streaming Beyond Two Souls (PS4) - but will also be completing the PS3 version offline. I don't have the capability to stream PS3 at the moment unfortunately as I'd prefer to just play that, but this is a nice compromise. I also have Heavy Rain on PS3, but the game case says it's a PS Move version so I'll need to do some research and find out if I'm able to complete it without move controllers. I think it should be okay though.

I really couldn't have picked any two glitchier titles from the LOTR world than these last two. Just like with Shadow of Mordor, I had numerous glitches and issues but mainly to do with progression bugs. Despite this though, I managed to do everything except the Lidless Eye trophy in the 3 playthroughs required. Unfortunately this trophy would not pop because in all three playthroughs, one of the collectibles required would not register when picked up. Knowing that I'd have to do a 4th playthrough I decided to play the entire playthrough without the patch which so happened to work. Another relief...

I am working on this title now. I had my first round of glitches too. Which scroll didn't register for you?

X-Men: Destiny was a fun little brawler that was short and pretty easy, even on my hard mode playthrough. Fun fact: this game is one of the five Silicon Knights games ordered to be recalled and destroyed after a legal dispute between them and Epic Games over Unreal Engine 3 licensing.

 

Sam & Max is always good for a little of that old school adventure game nostalgia, without a lot of that old school adventure game confusion. 

 

That 5% bump in progress in Mass Effect 3 represents the end of my second and beginning of my third playthrough (an in-game counter popped up on the last mission of my second playthrough showing I was super close to the 5,000 kills trophy, so I decided to go for it). 

 

I'm at the beginning of the seventh of nine levels in BioShock 2, the Protector Trials DLC is finished and I'm at the end of the second of three levels in the Minerva's Den DLC. This game has a weird inverted difficulty curve. I played the original BioShock five years ago, so it's a little foggy, but I seem to recall that it was the same in that regard. At the beginning you NEED to line up headshots to conserve ammo and health or you'll run out in no time, but now I've got so many weapons and powers I have to leave ammo, money, and other supplies behind because I've hit the carrying limit. The first Little Sister gathers were a nightmare, but after doing the Protector Trials DLC (which are all about Little Sister gathers) the rest have felt like a cakewalk. 

 

March will probably not see a lot of progress. I intend on finishing BioShock 2, of course. But then I want to do that third Mass Effect 3 playthrough (which won't have any trophies associated with it) and then I've got a PS4 game I started at the end of last year that I want to finish up.

I'm at the beginning of the seventh of nine levels in BioShock 2, the Protector Trials DLC is finished and I'm at the end of the second of three levels in the Minerva's Den DLC. This game has a weird inverted difficulty curve. I played the original BioShock five years ago, so it's a little foggy, but I seem to recall that it was the same in that regard. At the beginning you NEED to line up headshots to conserve ammo and health or you'll run out in no time, but now I've got so many weapons and powers I have to leave ammo, money, and other supplies behind because I've hit the carrying limit. The first Little Sister gathers were a nightmare, but after doing the Protector Trials DLC (which are all about Little Sister gathers) the rest have felt like a cakewalk. 

 

March will probably not see a lot of progress. I intend on finishing BioShock 2, of course. But then I want to do that third Mass Effect 3 playthrough (which won't have any trophies associated with it) and then I've got a PS4 game I started at the end of last year that I want to finish up.

I did the MP three and a half years ago when I saw a session pop up on this site, and did it all via boosting. Hacking turrets for XP is grindy and boring, but not particularly difficult. If you can find an active and accommodating group you shouldn't have any problem getting the trophies.
