TheVengeance1231
What is the difficulty to platinum this game (compare with Yakuza Series)?? I saw the ranking on Yakuza Series (from hardest to easiest) on the net: Judgement > Yakuza 3 > Yakuza Ishin > Yakuza 5 > Yakuza 0 > Yakuza OTE > Yakuza 4 > Yakuza HD > Yakuza Kiwami > Yakuza 2 HD > Yakuza Kiwami 2 > Yakuza 6 > Yakuza 7 Can someone insert Lost Paradise in the difficulty list? Redgrave
Going by that list I would put it below Yakuza 0. It's not really hard, just a bit of a grind for the most part. Probably the only real difficult thing is the last few songs for the Doctor Ken minigame but if you've done rhythm games before it shouldn't be too bad.
cckerberos
@PooPooBlast could likely chime in here. Also, I'm afraid I don't agree with that ranking at all.
xh117
Easier than Kiwami 1, harder than Kiwami 2 so between those I guess. Just really grindy, nothing too hard except for that rhythm game that's doable with practice.

I can only comment on the ones I've played, but I found FotNS to be easier than any of Yakuzas 3, 4, 5 and Dead Souls (if you count that one) to plat.
Popular Post PooPooBlast
Hey! Mm let's see.. quick disclaimer from the get-go, this is just my opinion and I haven't played Yakuza 7 as of this post because it's in Japan only. And also, if you started with any of the games below, you might find that to be a bit harder than some other games because Yakuza tends to reuse a lot of minigames which don't change much across iterations. For instance, if you learnt to play mahjong in Yakuza 0 for example as your first time, the rules aren't going to change and after that initial difficulty you're good to go across the other yakuza games where mahjong is also a requirement. My rankings (based off of what I played): Judgment > Yakuza 3 > 0 > kiwami 1 > FoTNS > Kiwami 2 > dead souls > 5 > 4 > 6. Now my reasons why: 1. judgment. Puyo is the reason. If you're good at this then judgment is actually one of the easier games out there. Well.. drone racing might give you a bit of trouble but it's not as bad as puyo imo. 2. Yakuza 3's pool was something from the devil! The higher difficulties that you have to beat, can really mop the floor with you. Expert can sink in as many as 5 balls in a row.. you really have to be on your P's and Q's. 3. Yakuza 0. Now we're moving into so/so territory. There are some hard aspects such as the infamous car chase on legend, the climax battles but looking back i think many people feel 0 is a bit difficult because it's typically their first game and they have to learn everything from scratch. It's grindy as well but that doesn't mean it's that difficult. 4. Yakuza kiwami 1. This game is pretty similar to 0 including the infamous car chase on legend! It also has some challenging climax battles, Haruka's requests and getting 950 score on a challenging karaoke song. However, I put it after 0 because it's so similar that if you managed to do 0 and played that first then this shouldn't be as bad as your first time. It's also half the length of 0 and so it's less grindy. You can switch kiwami and 0's difficulty ranking and it wouldn't be that different imo. 5. FoTNS. Now we're moving into less and less difficult games. Dr. Ken is your minigame that ups the challenge. It's a rhythm based minigame and you have to nail every beat for all songs. Other than that, some difficulty may come from the coliseum battles against some specific opponents that you have to beat over and over but overall it's not too bad. I'd say this, and kiwmi 2 can also be swapped in terms of difficulty. They're about the same imo. 6. I don't remember kiwami 2 being difficult. You have a few challenges that pop up here and there but nothing too bad. Only thing I recall was a specific bouncer mission where you fight against 4 strong opponents at the same time which I won't spoil.. however there are many tactics to cheese that because fighting it legit is kind of stupid due to how cheap they are together. 7. Dead souls was easy. Grindy a bit but easy. Dead souls difficulty which was the hardest thing in the game, can be beaten easily if you take the time to gather some money from gambling and get all the good weapons and upgrades you need. 8. Yakuza 5. Didn't find this difficult whatsoever. Was a pretty long game however (took me ~160 hrs to beat) but it was loads of fun. Only obstacle I recall was doing a certain coliseum battle with Akiyama. That's it though. 9. Yakuza 4. They barely ask you to scratch the surface in terms of minigames. 10. yakuza 6. Likewise for Yakuza 6. This and Yakuza 4 can also be swapped interchangeably. And that's it for me. If you have any questions always happy to help :). Edited August 22, 2022 by PooPooBlast Updated rankings as of 2022: Judgment > Yakuza 3 > 0 > kiwami 1 > FoTNS > 7 > Kiwami 2 > dead souls > Lost Judgment > 5 > 4 > 6.

Thank you, I was here for the yakuza side more than fists of bloobloo, although I may look into it when there are no more yakuza's, soon to begin on the remasters so very useful information thanks!
You
For me, the platinum is easier than the Japanese version, the trophy for needing 100% completing is gone and you only need 50% (I wish they did this for Yakuza 5) As others say Dr Ken the final 3 stages or so are tough. I would like to say I am good at music rhythm games but Dr Ken did challenge me. It's mostly hard because you are bashing buttons to the time of the circles and the beat and nothing related to the music so sometimes the music can actually get in the way. If you suck at music games, then well, this game might be almost impossible for you. Other than that, there is a setup of Ken that makes 98% of all fights in the game pretty easy. The game is very grindy though. Having to drive and come 1st about 250 times in the same race, and doing the Ken Manager minigame for quite literally hundreds of times just to grind enough for the minigame to finish. I found them really quite annoying, just tedious mostly. Also having to upgrade each talisman which seems to take about 10 seconds just for the upgrade effect to finish. And all the trading you have to do to get rarer items. You'll probably spend about 10 hours just in menus on this game. I enjoyed the game a lot, but that Dr Ken minigame was very annoying.
TheVengeance1231
Thank you for everyone. So I am thinking of go for the Japanese version. That means it is something above Yakuza 0 ??
starcrunch061
I will say that if you do decide to go for the plat on FotNS, abuse roulette. Since you can quit and reload (possibly using your old saves from PS+ - I don't really remember), you can basically wait until you get massive jackpots, which makes life quite a bit nicer overall.

I'm not sure as I didn't play the JP version but somebody pointed out that you need to 100% everything in-game then which makes it more grindy and you have to complete all the objectives in the list. I don't remember what the list was like exactly because I didn't bother going for everything when I didn't need to in the NA version I'd imagine though that the difficulty will naturally increase.
You
Japanese version is way harder, getting 100% on everything means literally getting everything to 100%, collecting 100% of all the junk, engines etc. I've never done that, there's also stuff like, play this minigame xxx amount of times, pick up xxxx amount of junk in total, drive xxxx miles in total etc, it's gonna add at least 10-20 extra hours. Probably no difference as a difficulty spike, but just adding a Yakuza 5 style having to do absolutely everything to completion.
