GP on Expert Need tips

Hi, can some one can give me advice for this? Im at level 3 GP trying to beat on expert, I am not bad for drifting and get boost but, its hard for me to be always in top 3 (in 1 single race). But i think my bigest problem is that i cant get reasonable result at each race of GP. I can get 1 good score in the 2 races, but on the 3rd and 4th race, i finish in the middle position and my teamate finish in last position.

 

I got the platinum in CTR ans sonic transform, but seriously i dont understand for Team sonic racing.
