Is this worth it for someone who hasnt owned a Madden game in a few years?

I asked this elsewhere but I haven't received any comments so I figured to ask here.

I haven't purchased a Madden game since 16 or 17. From my understanding, they've updated part of franchise with a storyline(?) of franchise mode. I understand this madden includes a brand new "arcade-like" mode, which sounds intriguing on paper.

It's probably the NFL season that's giving me the itch to play a madden game. Should I purchase this year's madden (which is on sale for $40 atm) or just re-download my previous madden game since this year's madden isn't that much of a difference?

Haven't played since '07.  Just got 21 and have been enjoying it.  Give it a shot

If you are into football and have enjoyed Madden games in the past, I think picking up Madden every few years is worth it. Been a few years for me to and actually plan on picking up the PS5 version soon. It's when you buy every year you really notice the issues and the slow QOL updates.
