By proxying through a server, do you mean to redirect the current jQuery call to [my server] and let it call the API via PHP or similar non-JS language?

 

Yes, you could run local server (maybe look into node.js if you are familiar with JavaScript) that would provide the response to your page.

jQuery <---> server running on localhost <---> PSN API

 

However, I would recommend googling some more because it seems like you can also disable CORS in Chrome temporarily which might be "good enough" for you.

As noted by some of the replies, Sony recently stopped updating the Chihiro API for the PlayStation store, which is causing PlatPrices (and PSPrices) to be slower with updating prices.

 

I'll be gradually working on better and better fixes for this problem over the coming days and weeks. Annoying that this happened right when I'd much rather be working on new features, rather than fixing up old ones. At any rate, today's sale page is now live on PlatPrices:

Quick suggestion: every time I re-open the website, I keep having to toggle the "Hide DLC" filter. Would it be possible for the website to save our preferences?

There is no way (as far as I'm aware) to save our preferred filters. You always need to toggle it back on.

 

Hell, I don't even need to close the site and open it back on. As soon as I make a new search, the filters are all back to default.

OK, you can save a search with a filter "saved". Now, from that same page that you just sent me, try to search for anything else. You will see that the filters reset.

I wish Sony would focus on making meaningful changes to the store, instead of all the pointless shit that just bogs everything down and causes more glitches .

I miss the old webstore... you could buy anything except maybe PS3 static themes. Now you can only get games, demos and addons. No more apps, themes, avatars... also it was a lot easier to navigate, now there's that stupid limit of 128 search results no matter what, it's a PITA to search for new free content.

It's currently propagating on PlatPrices. This is the same issue mentioned a week or so ago -- the old PSStore API is no longer being updated, so I unfortunately can't scrape sales anymore until they are fully live, and they take some time after being fully live to be complete.

Not sure if this has been requested but could you please add PS3 and PS Vita stores? It would be great to see what games are available on the store and be able to sort by trophy time, difficulty and pricing, I'm not sure as to how difficult this would be to do but I'm guessing once it's done you wouldn't have to update very often just remove delisted games.

That's not possible AFAIK due to Sony nuking the webstores for those platforms out of existence last summer so there's no data source to scrap any info from. Unfortunately, you're stuck with using the buggy POS store apps on the respective consoles if you want to look anything up for the .

I heard there was a plug in on Firefox that could be used to pull data from the way back machine.

I agree this is in need of an overhaul. The tricky/annoying thing is that Sony's web store is buggy, and a surprisingly large number of pings to their site return "not for sale" just because their website is bugging out, instead of a proper error message. So I have to wait until my site notices a few different "not for sale" results on separate occasions before delisting a game from PlatPrices.

 

That said, now that games from separate regions are linked together a bit better on PlatPrices, I could probably do this more effectively. Right now the "not for sale" pings are accumulated and result in delistings on a region-by-region basis. If I combined "not for sale" pings from multiple regions then I could make the automatic delistings a bit quicker and smoother.

Yeah I found it via search. I also found other dead listings. Maybe there could be a feature where users could report the listing for rescan or something.

@NathanielJohn i am guessing that the system gets trophy info automaticly but it not then here sore trophy list unknown games with their trophy list (probably not needed but whatever):

but you can add something like a psychical section to the site where if you go to your library you can switch between games brought psychically and digitally.
