Popular Post iGGTheEnd
So I honestly was losing interest in trophy hunting once I hit around 50 platinums I just wasn't feeling the same popping a plat as I used to and it had lost its charm. But just recently I have found hunting UR's gives me that same feeling as when I first started trophy hunting. Yes my first platinum was My name is mayo and honestly I am glad I did it because before that game I believed I wasn't good enough to get any plats at all but after popping Mayo I just felt the urge to keep going. I popped some easy plats to bump my plat count and then eventually got to Nioh which was the first platinum I feel like I actually earned and that felt damn good. Anyways thats my small story of getting into trophy hunting now for what this thread is about. I am going to be listing UR's I have earned and my thoughts on them as well as others that I have my eyes on that I hope to achieve at some point. Earned Dead cells: My first ever UR platinum I was so proud of it at the time and still am very happy with it as it is one of my favorite games released this generation and is also the game that introduced me to roguelike/lite games. Even tho save manipulation played a part in achieving this it was still a big milestone for me and is the game that finally gave me the push to start hunting some UR's. 9/10 Game 7/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Flawless victory. You beat "Conjunctivius" without taking a single hit! Current Rarity: 3.60% Bonus: First UR. Gwent: I have always loved card games from Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Hearthstone and Magic I have been playing card games since I was about 8 years old and now I am 28 so I have quite a lot of experience in them. Not the hardest platinum but definitely grindy near the end and it is the only platinum I have currently that is now unobtainable. While I wasn't a huge fan of The Witcher because of the boring combat I was a huge fan of Gwent. 7/10 Game 5/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Apple of his Eye. Complete an arena run with at least 6 wins. Current Rarity: 3.33% Downwell: This is the hardest platinum I have earned so far in my opinion or at least it was the most frustrating I still to this day don't feel like I actually earned it and I just eventually lucked out and had a good hard mode run and eventually got it. Easy mode I could see myself improving little by little until I could beat it consistently. Hard mode felt like I was smashing my head against a wall until it finally just worked out especially the catacombs which was like hell trying to get through. This was my first UR that actually felt like it was an UR and I am glad I got it because I love Roguelike games. 7/10 Game 9/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Well Master. Beat the boss (Hard Mode) Current Rarity: 1.97% Bonus: Most frustrating Until Dawn: Rush of Blood: My first Ultra rare VR platinum, Honestly just really annoying because I had to keep taking the headset off the look at a video for all collectibles. I won't be playing VR games for trophies anymore after this one unless they are straight forward and can be done with minimal help from guides. It was a really cool experience but missing one collectable meant re-doing a whole level and man did that happen a lot. 7/10 Game 5/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Obsessive collector. Find all skittles. Current Rarity: 1.52% Bonus: First VR UR Death Road to Canada: Fun and straight forward exactly how I like my platinums, I love only having to glance at guides every once in a while and not having to stare at them intently so I don't miss something. This game was perfect. Again I love roguelikes so playing each mode and then finishing with each character didn't feel grindy to me at all. I will eventually go for the asia stack just not right now as the game is still fresh in my mind. 9/10 Game 6.5/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Omega Streak. Streak the first 10 game modes. Current Rarity: 1.35% Bonus: Most fun. Tooth and Tail: I have always enjoyed RTS games but have always been bad at them so this one was a big accomplishment for me, the subbreddit for this game was pointing out how needlessly hard the single player for the game was and I was having a fairly quick and easy time with it but many people were reporting being unable to beat some levels even after 12+ hours of trying. That made me feel good especially because I beat the whole game + Heroic quests in about 12ish hours. This was also the first game I ever boosted which gave me a headache but also was satisfying once it was over. 9/10 Game 7.5/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: The fate of animals. Complete the Heroic objective in "Victors will feast." Current Rarity: 0.86% Bonus: Fastest achiever. PubG: My first Multiplayer ultra rare luckily it can all be done solo and luckily for me I have 1000's of hours in other battle royale games on PC so my experience crossed over, I was also able to hit 2nd fastest achiever which was a nice bonus I wasn't expecting seeing as I hadn't ever played the game before. Honestly the game wasn't that bad and I was having a ton of fun playing it so it never felt like a grind except for the 50 grenade kills trophy which got me killed countless times. 7/10 Game 4/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Nade King Master. Kill 50 players with grenades. Current Rarity: 0.76% Bonus: First Multiplayer UR I am Bread: This is the game that made me realize with enough practice I can get most platinums. 10's upon 100's attempts at many of the levels I was eventually able to beat them and eventually able to get the platinum. The last trophy I needed was for beating all cheese hunt levels and one level in particular is notorious for being the platinum killer (Garden cheese hunt) not only is the time limit for an A++ very short but that level is very buggy and took me 100's of attempts. At one point I finally beat it but I was 1 fucking second off the A++ time and I almost gave up right there but not even an hour later I finally did it with 2 seconds to spare. This game is what made me decide I would rather get 5-10 UR plats in a year than 30-40 crappy platinums that don't feel satisfying. 7/10 Game (Janky AF) 8/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Turophile. A++ All cheese hunt levels. Current Rarity: 0.33% Bonus: A game about getting Toasted. Dreams: This is the first UR I finished since starting this thread, I regret it completely as it is way too grindy if you have no interest in designing anything. I spammed X and Square for 40+ hours to level up to level 30 while playing roguelike card games on my PC to help make it more bare-able. I do not recommend this one unless you plan on designing games as it can get extremely boring. Technically you could level up to 30 by playing other peoples games but most of them are 5 minutes long and it takes 4 hours per level up. 5/10 Game (Not for me) 3/10 Difficulty (10/10 mentally draining grind) Hardest trophy: Blowin Up! Reach level 30 Current Rarity: 2.22% Bonus: Grindiest platinum or at least felt like it was. First UR since starting this thread. Monster Slayers: Another one down and in my favorite genre, Roguelike deckbuilder. The game can be pretty rough in Legendary mode because it puts you against past decks that you built and finished the game with and some of my decks could 1 turn kill me or could skip my turn 3 times before I could do anything. This one was also a couple years in the making due to deleting my save file 25 hours in and loosing all motivation to keep playing. On the plus side after losing my save file I started uploading my saves in every game to the cloud just to be safe. 7/10 Game 6.5/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: The Dirty Dozen. Complete Legendary mode with 12 classes Current Rarity: 3.88% Bonus: Deleted my save file 25 hours in a couple years ago and told myself I would never come back to this game. Neon Abyss: Another Roguelike down, I love Roguelike lists because there is normally no guide required and no collectables. This one was fun but every run feels mostly the same so it gets repetitive by the end. There are some RNG trophies with this one but they aren't so bad and the enter the abyss 999 times trophy can be manipulated and done in 20 minutes I am glad there was a way around it. 7/10 Game 7/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Safety first. Finish the game without losing any hearts. (Shields as well so this is a no hit run.) Current Rarity: 2.63% Curse of the dead gods: A great soulslike/roguelike it has slower paced combat than Hades with a stamina system but I highly recommend it, a little on the grindy side but well worth playing. You do have to no hit each boss 10 times which can get difficult. 8/10 Game 8/10 Difficulty Hardest trophy: Memoirs. Requires you to beat each boss 10 times without being hit as well as each elite enemy 50 times without being hit. Grindy and difficult. Current rarity: 0.37 (it is a new game so it will rise) Bonus: It is a new game so rarity is low but after playing it I feel it will stay UR so I am adding it to the list of UR's. So now I have looked through every UR platinum for PS4 and made a list of ones that interest me, then I am going to narrow that down and start chipping away at some of the easier ones and hopefully work my way up to Invisible inc which is my end goal. This is my current list of games I know I won't get to all of them but these are the ones I am currently most interested in and I hope to knock some of these out beggining now. Obviously I won't only be playing UR games as I want to play Demon souls, Elden ring, Miles Morales, Horizon 2, etc but I will play those in between these UR plats. This List will change from time to time as I find things that interest me but I feel like this is a good start for now. GunfighterHefty
This is a cool set up you have here and we have a lot of similar game interests A lot of ones on your radar are in my ever piling backlog. I would say that Lover's is an easy one to grab, its rarity is helped by the fact that it was a freebie at one point.

Ya I heard it was on the easier side it was still UR before it was free but just not as rare as it currently is, I have just been putting it off for a while because of having to use two controllers and my one controller has drift which I am not sure will effect the difficulty or not. Zid960
Good list? here are a few recommendation on a some ultra rare plats. Under 1% Binary domain - its a ps3 title and has both a super long & hard MP part. Need a big group and some skill 1-2% Nom Nom Galaxy - You can plat 95% of it by yourself. But there like 3 trophies for mp. But they can be easily boosted Birthday the beginning- Easy plat but 1 trophies is dum. And you need have x amount of years played. Which is like 500 real time. Terraria- 2d minecraft. This will take a lot of time Agony- Walking sim set in hell. Super Time Force Ultra- Just a great game. I recommend anyone going for ultra's ? Escapist 2 - Well its a escapist game. A few MP trophies. But can be boost. MURAMASA REBIRTH - Its a vita title. 3-4% Existence archive - JRPG its long. And you'll need a backup the save near the end for different ending. Lovers in a dangerous SpaceTime - Its a odd game. But i loved it. Escapist 1 - Easy escape game Dead Rising 1 - Only real pain here is the stay alive for 1 week ingame. Which is like 10 hours. Gal gun double peace - on rail shooter. I write the 1st guide on it. Its over on gamefaq This a special case. As all ver of this game plat are ultra rare ps3' ps4' vita / gig ver So if play all the English ver. You could get 9 ultra plats. By replaying this 1 game. Also Nom Nom looks interesting, I also have about 20 days of PS+ left on my second account can it be boosted with 2 consoles or will I need to find someone else to boost with? Is it like I am Bread and Surgeon simulator where you have short levels that you just play on repeat until you finally get it? Looks pretty fun honestly just curious how frustrating it is. I wouldn’t bother with Surgeon Simulator. The bad controls will make the platinum journey a frustrating one. Getting A++ in all surgeries is something I never want to do again. OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is fun, but definitely a challenge. It’s a bit harder than a number of ultra rares you’ve done. You have to learn to pull off tricks on the fly, and be good at doing manuals and revert-manuals as they greatly help your score combo. It will be hard, especially when you get to Titan Sky. Luckily I am used to doing the same thing over and over until I finally get it I will probably still go for Surgeon simulator. Bushidocypher made guides for both that game and I am Bread and he said Surgeon simulator is easier so I have faith I will be able to get it with some patience. I already have it downloaded on my console just not feeling it at the moment. I dont have much of a problem with janky controls getting all A++ in I am bread was extremely frustrating as well but once it was done it was very satisfying, Ollie ollie definitely looks hard from some of the videos ive seen but also seems do-able as well. Charizarzar
Interesting read. While being pretty averagely skilled myself I like the idea of adding to my UR count. Was thinking about starting Surgeon Sim sometime but I wanna be in the right mindset before I take on a plat that requires patience and this has been a very tough year on me lol. I harp on about this game a bit too much because it’s the only tough UR plat I have, but (so long as you don’t mind racing games) Trackmania Turbo fits with your interest in lots of short levels that you’ll eventually get through with enough practice. There’s a multilap race for every 5 races you get a gold medal on, but the hardest ones are still only about 5 minutes long in total and it’s mostly just about perfecting the way you do the first lap and then getting through the last two with the muscle memory you’ve gained from playing it over and over. The single lap levels are usually under a minute long. I procrastinated a lot and played other games when I made it to the hardest levels but I definitely would’ve finished months sooner if I’d just stuck with it. AJ_Radio
I actually heard of people taking as long as 10 - 15 hours each to beat some tracks in Trackmania Turbo. Certainly more difficult than what Driveclub threw at me. Definitely should of picked the game up on PS Plus, but I guess it's not too late to pick it up now. Wait, surgeon simulator is great, I could probably get platinum on that when I have a spare minute, still need to get A++ on a couple of the later levels. [edit] Ahh, you mentioned bad controls, perhaps you are talking about the non VR version. VR version is awesome. Grotz99
If you're looking for any AAA ultra rares, I would recommend Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami (1), the Yakuza series is great and there is a ton of content in these games, but requires skills in multiple areas due to the variety of mini games and the Climax battles. Another game I liked, but haven't gone back to in a while is Monster Slayers, a roguelite deck building game. I was getting prepared for the Legendary playthroughs which are basically hardcore modes of the normal as you can lose your equipped items for that character when you die and a couple other disadvantages (in normal you can save your items). Ya I was working on monster slayers after 20 hours my game started glitching out and automatically clicked on the delete save file which is located in game for some reason and not at the menu. I had no back up so I was kind of pissed, I tried going back to it but it was just too buggy and annoying. Also if you enjoyed Monster slayers please go and play Slay the spire right now it's so good. Edited November 20, 2020 by iGGTheEnd
scemopagliaccioh
So you're looking for Ultra Rares, huh. My advice would be to start Bulletstorm (ps4), you can find it for cheap nowadays, excellent gameplay, and tons of ultra rares in the trophy list. There are some online co-op trophies, but nothing too hard with some coordination. Edited November 20, 2020 by scemopagliaccioh
KenjiCBZ
Brawlhalla, kinda easy but ridiculously grinding, it's a F2P Smash-like fighting game, really funny. Rarity around 1.8% but it keeps getting more common with time: it also has DLC Trophies, 100% is at 0.04%. Steep, an online only winter sports game, with several challenges of various difficulties, the Platinum requires skill and it's currently at around 2.7% and it's getting rarer. 100% is at 0.4%. Portal Knights, a cute RPG, really not hard but it may be tricky to understand how the game works, at the beginning. A couple of Trophies are grinding but not a big deal, Platinum is at 3.4% and 100% at 0.7%, I myself just started the DLC. Cassylvania
I don't think Invisible, Inc. is hard. The game is very broken due to certain agent + augment + gadget combinations. Once you know what you're doing, it's a 5/10 at best. But it is long. If you don't mind long platinums, XCOM, XCOM 2, Terraria, The Long Dark, Darkest Dungeon, The Banner Saga (not too long, but it is a trilogy), and Kingdom Come: Deliverance are all fantastic URs. If you don't like long platinums...yeah, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is all I got. <10 hours for the easiest UR out there.

AJ_Radio
So I’m looking at my own list and if you enjoy platformers, you will like Velocity 2X. It’s hands down my favorite indie platformer that is an ultra rare. The difficulty ramps up in later levels but it sports a very good soundtrack and the game is never unfair. Any mistake you make is your own fault. This is another game that will require good timing and good reflexes. Rogue Legacy is another game I recommend, though it’s much more RNG based because the castle layout is different each time. Beating the game in under 15 deaths can be cheesed with cloud saves and USB, but the main issue will be the remix bosses. Lots of practice is needed, but none of the game is unfair and it’s easily doable. Out of everything on your list, I Am Bread is the biggest surprise. You just have to beat it several times for the platinum. I'd say maybe 60-80 hours across 6+ playthroughs, with the harder ones just requiring a lot of trial and error. With 99 rewinds, you shouldn't have much of a problem. It does take a couple playthroughs to master the mechanics, though.
duboiszack
If you're a horror fan I recommend trying White Day: A Labyrinth Named School. Getting all the endings is definitely tedious, but as a whole it is a pretty easy platinum for an ultra rare. In my opinion maybe around a 4 or 5/10 on the difficulty scale. As someone else mentioned, Dead Rising 1 is a fun and pretty easy ultra rare. Dreams is a very easy ultra rare, just grinding to level 30 is very tedious.
