Popular Post PacManKel
This game is being sold in the UK for £50-£60 and I finished it in 21 hrs, and when I say finish that includes the story, new game plus and earning the platinum. There is no way this game should be priced so high when it is a glorified DLC. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the story but I feel ripped off a bit.
Popular Post lurch_9944
I agree with you the game is great and the story is solid but it definitely doesn't justify it's price tag. I can only assume we'll see DLC's coming for this one too that'll only add to the cost.
Fish613
I haven't played the game, but I know what you're talking about when you write "glorified demo", and I agree with your point. I understand that it's more of the EXPERIENCE you have with a video game that determines it's worth/value (as opposed to amount of content in the game, how long it takes to beat, replay value, etc.).... but that is a fine line.
Popular Post TheUntold_Truth
It's been stated already that the game is short. You should have waited until the game went on sale, if you were on the fence about it being to expensive for being short. SMMM is a high quality short game. It's definitely worth the money. It's simply if you have the money to pay for it now. Game is definitely worth it.

Popular Post MatThaRiPP3R84
thats what I've been saying, it's a expansion, an expanded dlc it's 40 at absolute most, and it's a complete piss take. just a desperate money grab because microsoft has more and their rampant capitalism has pissed MS off enough to just buy bethesda lol. it's this generations' the order 1886 only, obviously a bit longer and a fair bit better. all I can say is if you live in the UK boomerang is your friend, thank me later. (unless you absolutely must own every game you play yourself)

Popular Post xHydroBoltx
I felt so dumb getting the platinum in less than 20 hours, knowing that I paid 50 bucks for it. I traded it in and bought a few Yakuza games :/
Popular Post Akrioz
Judging by this thread every game should be padded with content to justify the pricetag. Since when that became a norm? Comparison to Order 1886? Really? Imagine releasing God of War 3 or Heavy Rain today. 8-10 hours for a full price. Nonsense!

We'll the problem is Sony increase price of games all by 10$.... I'd still say game is worth it though. I got more time out of this than other games like Uncharted 2 and God Of War games before the reimagining on PS4. I have a strong suspicion this game will become bloated with a bunch of DLC and other cash grab expansions over time, until it inevitably resembles this: Edited November 22, 2020 by dieselmanchild

Popular Post BrandedBerserk
The game is well worth it and I personally found it better than the first minus the story being weaker although still serviceable. Better combat, stealth is a nice addition, those secondary character segments that broke up the pace are gone and the open world feels more contained with just the right amount of collectibles/side stuff (fuck those crimes for platinum in the first game). Going cinema to watch a two hour movie these days is about 50$ so a good game that I can get twenty hours of content from 80$ doesnt seem like an unreasonable price to me. Popular Post RedRodriguez87
I'm in a weird area with this game. One the one hand I DO agree that $49 was too much to ask for a game that is extended DLC ala First Light, and they probably could've gotten away with a healthy profit at $29. But at the same time, I haven't regularly paid full price for games for a long LONG time already; 95% of my purchases have been used price and1-2 years into a games' lifespan. So when that 5% crops up and I shell out New Price, it never bothers me. Add in the fact this game IS extended DLC of Spider-Man 2018, a game I very much enjoyed, and I end up happy with my purchase.

If it was padded with content then it would just be Spiderman 2018. I’m glad the boring puzzles and stealth segments are gone in the new game. I just think it ended a bit too soon. Kids today got it easy. a lot of artificial difficulty in those old Super Mario games because when you would lose your lives, you would have to start the game all over. Poor game design as after awhile you got very bored/tired of replaying the opening levels over and over to get to the new levels to be able to learn and pass those. Thankfully, there are checkpoints now and those design flaws are over.

Popular Post EIdain
Length ≠ Monetary Value. To me anyway. I've paid £10-20 for games on sale years after release I regret not supporting earlier and paying full RRP for. And I've paid full RRP for games I should've at least waited to get on sale. Quality is more important to me. Not played Miles Morales yet, but I paid full price for Uncharted:TLL when that came out which was a similar deal. I would do it again, it was a fantastic experience even if it was shorter than many other AAA single player games. Also it's not like the length of this game was a big secret before it released, if you were concerned that it was going to be an issue for you I don't know why you wouldn't at least wait for a sale.
djb5f
Yeah, it is a discounted game at launch. I expect it is similar to Uncharted Lost Legacy. High quality but shorter than a typical AAA game.
