Popping PS5 Trophies Via PS4 Save Transfer

It won't work in BL3, because cross-save breaks your saves and stops most of the trophies from popping if you continue with your original save, thus you have to start a new character from scratch if you want the Plat/100%.

I just did the last 2 DLCs this way. Had to do the win a round normally WITH imported char (trophy won't pop if you transfer one that already completed the challenge for 1 win), then transferred again when 97/100 extracts and 19/20 locations. Transferred after killing the Seer, before opening the chest, then on 49/50 mysterium eridium. Hemovorous had to be done normally (used imported char without killing it)

Has this been fixed or is it still messed up? I downloaded the ps5 version and was just about to start when I thought I’d check first to see if ps5 now auto pops everything?

Nope, cross-save is still very buggy and unreliable so don't expect more than a tiny handful of trophies to auto-pop.

Well you could just play the game again, that's what I did but I'm a big borderlands fan so maybe that's not for everyone. I wouldn't say I wasted my time I enjoyed platting the game again.

I can confirm this works.. currently doing it now for my playthrough.

A few things to note when you decide to upload/download your save from PS4 to PS5.

- When downloading the PS4 save on PS5 it can show this message "Save game download failed". This probably means that you already downloaded that character, if you want to re-download the save you would have to delete the already imported character in the character selection menu.

- Every time you download the PS4 save on the PS5 you overwrite the contents of your bank, this can be exploited to give your fresh character a lot of money to start with.

- The upload/download procedure will remove any duplicated gear in your inventory and in the bank. If you have duplicated gear equipped the procedure will glitch your equipment slots, so put your duped gear into the bank so it won't glitch your equipment slots.

 

Loading into the game with your imported character will unlock:

Master Of All You Survey

Tales From The Eridian Slab - Decipher all of the Eridian Slabs.

 

Leveling once could get you:

02 You Got Skills

10 Star Bound

25 Vaulting Your Way To The Top

50 Biggest Badass In The Borderlands

 

Can be earned with imported character:

Feelin' A Little Stabby - Kill an enemy, knifing them with a gun blade.

(DLC) Don't Be a Stranger - Return for a chat with the Clapstructor.

 

Trophies that can be earned with imported stuff on new character:

(DLC) I'm Floundering Up Here - Listen to 25 fish jokes. Hang the fish ornament on the wall in sanctuary

(DLC) Might Beyond Sight - Destroy 50 mysterious Eridium piles. Give a new character the Mysterious Artifact

 

Confirmed buggy with imported character if you met the requirements already, usually a challenge is tied to the trophy:

Dropping Loads - Win a live grenade at a Slot Machine.

Tips Appreciated - Tip Moxxi.

Stay Golden - Use a Golden Key.

My Name Is Earl - Buy 20 cosmetic items from Crazy Earl.

Gun Pals! - Send an item to a friend.

Florida Man - Down yourself by grenade or explosion.

Bolt-Ons - Unlock 10 Character Heads or Skins.

Rewards Card - Earn a Loyalty Package from each weapon manufacturer.

Stick It To 'Em - Kill two or more enemies with a single sticky grenade.

À La Carte - Complete 20 Side Missions.

Mechani-Cool - Unlock 10 Vehicle Parts via hijacking.

On Fleek - Equip purple-rarity gear or better in every slot.

(DLC) Might Beyond Sight - Destroy 50 mysterious Eridium piles.

(DLC) Complex Made Simple - Explore the entire Stormblind Complex.

Getting A Little On The Side - Complete all Side Missions.

(DLC) Treat Yo Self - Extract 100 pieces of gear from Arms Race.

(DLC) Blood Sucking Freak - Defeat Hemovorous the Invincible.

 

The rest I haven't tested. Probably the story related ones can be earned on TVHM if you haven't already. Maybe side missions too?

The untested misc trophies:

 

I Hope You Didn't Tea-bag - Win a duel. (Easy on new character in MP)

Stay Away From The Light - Revive another player. (Easy on new character in MP)

Barreled Right Over Them - Kill an enemy with an exploding barrel. (Easy on new character)

Slaughterhouse 3 - Complete all the Circles of Slaughter.

Good Against Remotes Is One Thing - Get a perfect score at the Firing Range on any difficulty.

Got Big Game - Defeat all of Hammerlock's Legendary Hunts.

Zer0ed In - Defeat all of Zer0's Targets of Opportunity.

(DLC) Shoe Money Tonight - Get a 21 in the blackjack minigame.

(DLC) Good One, Babe - Watch Deathtrap kill 50 enemies.

100 Proof - Clear all the Eridian Proving Grounds.

(DLC) Who Collects The Collector? - Defeat the wandering Debt Collector.

(DLC) A Hunter, Through and Through - Find and kill all 4 rare spawns.

And more story related & DLC trophies...
