JG-Ray
Well, saying fuck everyone isn't going to get you a good flavored reply if you know what I mean. You really going to turn a blind eye to all the crap RDR had in it's multiplayer, with the grieving and what not? I noticed it in freeroam but not really in the other games much. DENIS-SCHOLTEN
I think gta 5 online really sucks, lost my character a coupel of times. And today my character lost 11 levels was lvl 50 now lvl 39. I want my time back
HaSoOoN-MHD
Nah, Deathmatch was an onslaught with the people of higher level, just like here. Those game's multiplayer modes have so much in them it's just hard to balance everything, how do you balance weapons when you have to deal with both AI, sense of progression and also competitive? it's tricky. Same with races.
GilgaMax305
Amen! I've had such a terrible experience with GTA Online... Turns out it's not all that at the end of the day lol
Popular Post RHGSniperFox
Uhhhh, yeah. Catch up is for pussies? I suppose you could be correct but turning catchup off and then jumping into a modified ride while others don't have one is worse because it takes out being equal. It makes the whole theory in racing completely pointless. Who's fault is that though? The person who wants to use the vehicle they've put time and money into, or the one who likely hasn't bothered trying to customize one? In order to even start upgrading a car decently, you have to win races in that class first. They all had to start with stock cars, just like you. You don't want to use custom vehicles? - then host your own games and turn them off. People act like dicks in the race? Kick them - you have that power as host. Invite friends, find people on here to play with - quite a few of us play the game just to play it and have fun doing things in the world. You don't just have access to the best stuff because you're a high rank. Most of what you get from rank-ups, in regards to vehicles, is cosmetic, with a couple of things that actually affect performance - but the big stuff requires you to win a set number of races first, and it only unlocks it for that class of car, nothing else. Also did you say that because it's gta it's the reason why the game makes it so rich, high ranked, and experienced players can freely just win against idiot low ranked guys who don't know better using tricks to guarantee a win? You call that a well thought out multiplayer game? It's exactly like most other online games - the higher your rank, the more stuff you have access to. Simple as that. I'm not on the losing side of this. I'm a higher rank. The compliant is strictly by the reason that I don't really have a choice to play a good game with gta5. There are tons of games that have a very good experience online for everyone and are built to welcome all. GTA5 doesn't have that which doesn't make sense whatsoever. Think about it. Practically half of the people here are saying "Oh, it's because you are just playing online. You need to only play with friends". What the hell kind of good online game is that? Every online game in existence is like that. Playing with randoms, 9 times out of 10, sucks. They don't bother playing as a team, and often try to do things on their own. Humans are assholes - that's all there is to it. If someone is a dick in real life - then chances are, they are a massive cock online. Playing with friends is the only way to guarantee you have an enjoyable time. There's no way for any developer to keep things fair and balanced without giving everyone everything from the outset - and what fun would that be? That still wouldn't stop people from griefing you, either. Gta5 singles player ITSELF has made several comments on how stupid people are to think that companies actually listen to online feedback. It was mentioned in jokes within missions in GTA. They have a good point. Also there is really no reason to mention it. They know exactly how the game would've worked with modified cars. Common sense predicted that higher ranked people are richer and have faster cars so a "add modified vehicles to racing" would obviously throw a serious advantage to high ranked players. The single player is satire. It's meant to lampoon everything it possibly can in today's society. That's what they've always done. Just because they make jokes about the current state of affairs in the industry, doesn't mean that's how they are themselves. After 4 patches, and them about to give us all $500,000 in in-game cash, you can't say they aren't listening to feedback. They've been working their asses off trying to fix and balance things this entire time - all while people constantly, CONSTANTLY bicker and bitch about every little issue they have. A good example of a real mistake they made without doing it on purpose is anytime you leave a game and others leave you are always in a standoff and then if you die you'll be stocked to try to get to your ride because the guy will be waiting by it for you. This isn't a mistake - it's people being dicks. People who can't handle losing. They get labeled as a Bad Sport if they act like that constantly, and have to join games with other people labeled the same. You can always call a cab to go somewhere else, then call your mechanic to bring you your vehicle. You don't have to go back to where your car is. If they purposefully destroy the car - then they have to pay for it and you can pick it up at the dealership. -- Saying that the "online is trash" just because you had a bad time, and got paired with a bunch of asshole randoms isn't fair. And saying you don't have a choice in the matter just plain isn't true - given that you can create your own session, and set it to Invite-Only so that you could play with only the people you want to play with. You DO have a choice - you just choose not to use it because none of your IRL friends are gamers - you could always, as I mentioned, find people on this very site to play with you. You're hating the online for being the exact same kind of thing as every other online game ever created. There will always be people who grief you. There will always be people who try to cheat to win. Who use exploits to rank up faster and unlock things faster than everyone else. It all boils down to "People. Are. Assholes." After 90+ hours online so far, I've had my share of griefers - people who just run around freemode as if it's some kind of deathmatch, people who drive courses backwards and slam you off the road as if it was Burnout - and it's nothing I haven't seen before. I've seen people act that way in games like Gran Turismo, not to mention various MMO games that feature PvP. That's all GTA5 is - a PvP MMO. Don't want to deal with it - then go solo, or invite-only. Problem solved. Edited October 23, 2013 by Fox
iMdaAssassiN-
The only thing that pisses me off is that people who have played RDR and Max Payne 3 are extremely good and there is no matchmaking to somewhat ballance between ranks. My friends are extremely skilled and good because they have played RDR but I always end up being negative on TDM even though we are playing against a bunch of scrubs. HaSoOoN-MHD
That's just sort the case with all games. A person who played Brotherhood first would have a better shot off the gate than a person who just started with Assassin's Creed Revelations. Things will balance themselves when the game progresses in it's life span.

ChaseHQ
I think online is one of the best experiences I've had for teamwork, racing, even the mini games are fun. As posted above you can change the settings of lobbies to make the races fair & even "skill match" players. The PSNprofiles crew is a good one as well, we have some real team players, I've helped numerous crew members escape bounties & I'll always back up a crew member in trouble. I haven't been able to do that in any other online game I've played. It makes me feel like the good guy. Even the idiots who try to ram you if they can't win you in races can be dealt with if you have the know how! Knowledge is power my friend...
ratache
When I play with my crew I leave custom vehicles off, then its fun for everyone. I always have catchup off, its a broken system. If I am good enough to get 10 checkpoints ahead, I should win, not some demo derby chump in last place take the win cause he was hanging out in the back the whole race. Traffic gets glitchy in races with lots of people, sometime an Issi has the velocity and weight of a dump truck that will completly total your vehicle and send it flying a couple yards in the wrong direction. And dont get my started on how the traffic cars all merge lanes for no reason. Racing with randoms sucks, none of them can drive, the first part of the race is a demo derby, if someone is on your tail and you slow down for a turn they slam into you at max speed every time sending you way off course while they leisurly stroll through the turn. My advice is find some bros to play with, turns the enjoyment way up. And I hope they implement a mute all someday. I too hate people yelling spanish, grainy rap music, constant mic feedback and yelling 12 year olds.
JG-Ray
wtf were you thinking when you chose that name ? I don't get what's with people all sensitive about the name. There's a guy in this post with the name "assassin". Doesn't that mean murdering people? Haha, What's the big deal with mine? I've always wondered..... Memnoch
Still - remains one of the good online experiences - even when I get pawned using a pea shooter by someone with an automatic I just hate having to silence all the kids after each mission .... leonado_97
And the conclusion is: GTA online is extremely fun. It's only boring if you go for trophies as many people do
HaSoOoN-MHD
This might just be me, but if you go play an entire game in it's own, just for the trophies, you probably won't find much fun tbh. However if you play with the intention of having fun over just trophies, you probably will enjoy it.
Herwest299
I can see why they launched the MP a number of weeks after the release. "Detailed, in-depth world; fleshed-out characters and a superb story are overshadowed by the broken, unplayable multiplayer. 7/10".
ratache
If Rockstar didnt buy all those 10/10 ratings that might have happened. Makes sense though.
