For those of you guys who primarily hunt ultra rare trophies, can you provide some insight on what your process is like? Like how do you go about searching for and selecting games that have ultra rares and deciding which ones you want to pursue? What keeps you motivated and constantly hungry to add more of those juicy URs to your profile? I would love to hear more about the mindset of these unique people.

I’ve always liked the idea of ultra rare trophies when I obtain them, but never really thought about going out of my way to hunt them. If you’re talking about PSN wide trophy stats, URs seem to be really common, but obtaining trophies with UR status on the PSNP leaderboards is a totally different story. I was surprised when I looked on my profile and saw how many of the “ultra rares” I have are actually more like uncommons-rare within PSNP. I never really paid attention before.

Reading through this thread has lead to a growing fascination with this small but highly dedicated group of trophy hunters within our community and I really want to know more! 1f60a.png

There's just something about those ultra rares that is so satisfying haha

Just began to follow @AK-1138 today, so I'll mention his/her profile here.  I like, and aim to have myself, profiles that are as close to 100% completion as possible, and his/hers is a darn good example.  The well-written write ups found in the Most Recent Platinum thread are always a welcome read as well.  :)

I agree with that. Having a 100% profile is something that takes a lot of effort and more if you play everything game.

https://psnprofiles.com/NekoRave the amount of effort it takes to pop a trophy in every game in a massive collection is no joke.On top of hate because people don't understand the style they consider out of the norm.

I'm also a fan of

https://psnprofiles.com/Hakoom it's fun to follow his  progress over the years been a fan for a very long time. His profile is a great way to find hidden gems and quick completions.Due to how limited my time is these days due to work .I'm always looking for quick games so I can feel I'm still making progress when I have so little time to play. so I  reference his profile often .

I enjoy the majority of profiles I come across because I just like trophies in general. It's not all about big numbers (plats, UR's, completion).

I will give a shout out to @madbuk because I remember when his profile was less than that of a casual player (300 trophies, 25% completion) for years, and everyone treated him like crap in the chat room. Now, his profile is a towering monument to gaming, and it's an even bigger trip when you realize it was all done legitimately (no file sharing, cheating, auto pops).

Special shout out to KimCherry69. The sweetest 50-year-old woman that's better than you at FPS and zombie games.

2 great people I started following early on when I started trophy hunting and 3 years later they still impress me with all the games they play. :D

Thanks :D. The rate at which you plow through games is impressive. By the time I finish 1 game you would've done 4 ?.
