In the anticipated sequel, Hope is 24-years-old and works as leader of the scientific expedition team at the Academy research institute, where he researches “spacetime anomalies”, the history of Gran Pulse and Cocoon, and searching for a new energy source in the absence of the fal’Cie. Because of his research, he knows that Serah and Noel Kreiss are traveling through time, and he facilitates them in their quest to find Lightning and save the future.
