Some are specific and need to collect all chests in the area and they appear, others arrive without taking damage and some specific only appear if the character is wearing underwear! Yes, just in underwear! There were 5 umbral bees for me 1 in each level, I tried everything and nothing, when I finally saw a comment on youtube that some only appeared in the chest if I was wearing underwear... I tested them on all the levels i need and managed to get them on first or second chest of the level. Here's the tip for anyone going platinum.
