Endless Saving Symbol

Everything was working just fine until the other day after a few wolfpack missions (rank 12 to 44 in one session) ended with a crash. I reported the error and restarted, my multiplayer rank had gone but when I waited and watched the turorial / intro again and it resumed back at 44.

The only problem I seem to have now is that when I load up multiplayer...the save icon constantly flashes in the bottom center of the screen. Nothing stops it and it even blocks me from going back to the single player menu from multiplayer. I have to press the PS button then highlight AC4 and click close application, after a stall it closes.

Has anyone got a fix for this, or even experienced it themselves? I'm Currently level 45 and I don't want all my hard work to be lost. I love the game but I'm on edge playing it waiting for it to implode, especially as I'm so close to the platinum :3!
