Can't reach bottom of the map for airdrops

Hello everyone!

 

Just a quick question that I'm hoping to get resolved. I have completed the game and am looking to mop up the remaining air drops for a trophy. There are of course quite a few in the bottom area (the sunken city). However I literally cannot reach this area without being told I am leaving the mission area and get a 5 second countdown before my character just dies. This is extra frustrating as I have been to this area already post game to do some grinding for the $1 million trophy, so I know I SHOULD be able to get there.

Any workarounds for this would be wonderful as it's on of the final 7 trophies I need.

A a side note I tried finishing the mission I was supposedly 'out of the area' for and it just put my onto another side quest automatically and had the exact same problem.
