Would like to know a few tips before starting.

Hey y'all hope you are doing well, recently I bought a Vita since it has many awesome  games including RPGs which are my favorite genre, I want to start this one but I'd like some advice, I can understand Hiragana, Katakana and basic dialogues, is it enough to understand the plot and go for the platinum? Kanji I can only understand a few but some games have simplified dialogues is this game like this? I love the Tales of series very much, played almost all of them and it's a real shame a lot of the main games never saw a western release, on that note do you guys think with the smashing success of Tales of Arise we will see more Tales on newer hardware? Thanks I'm advance.
