"Fruit of the Land" (Samples) Trick

1) Find a good spot with Ore, Plant and/or a Molepig.

 

2) Save nearby and make a backup via Plus or USB Flash, including both autosaves.

 

3) Load the Game, start Split Screen Mode and create a Character.

 

4) Gather the Sample and drop them, collect them with your Split Screen Player.

 

5) Press Save with P2 and end Split Screen Session.

 

6) Close the Game and transfer your backup saves.

 

Repeat Step 4 to 6, until you think you have enough Samples.

Not sure if anyone is still playing the game, but you can use this trick for the tsar set as well:

1) Get 6 tsar stones on your main account. 

2) Save and make a backup. 

3) Craft one of the armor pieces. 

4) Start split screen with a second account. Drop the armor and collect with the second char. 

5) Close the game and restore your backup save. 

 

Repeat from 3) until you have all armor pieces, then transfer them back to your main account and equip. 

 

Unconfirmed, but should also work: make a backup save just before you would get a tsar stone (e.g. before talking to the grave on the first map, behind the ghost pass). Get the stone, put it on P2, load save, repeat.

 

Can be useful on other occasions too, you get the gist. 

 

Ofc this essentially is an exploit and you have to decide for yourself if you want to use it, but the game (still!) being bugged af I don't really have any shame here.
