Cannot enter hidden object mini game

So, i am following a platinum walkthrough from playstationtrophies site. I am at the section in backyard where you open the red box with an item you acquire from the church. I did it and the wallthrough suggests walking at the pile of junk to start a hidden objective mini game to acquire "Rope". However i cant walk up to the junk the lights dont appear on junk too. I know i didnt miss anything from walkthrough i followed it step by step and i can still use my interact and use buttons so that game breaking glitch did not happen. Does anyone have any fixes for this ?
