Game is Unplayable

Has this ever happened to anyone? I used to play through this game a few years ago but never finished it. This year, I decided to go for the platinum and started a new game so I wouldn't be lost. For some reason I cannot progress past the tutorial area. After beating some enemies in the beginning, Batman is supposed to glide through the next building (by holding ), but it never does. It's like there is an invisible wall prohibiting me from progressing.
I own the physical version, so I tried:
- Delete the game and download it again.
- Playing with a clean file and base version
- Playing with a clean file with the updated version
- Resetting the Vita several times
- Going back to my old save file, where this bug also occurs

Honestly, I don't know what is causing it or how to fix it. It used to work just fine back then. Has anyone ever encountered a game-breaking bug like this one?
