Does the survivor trophy reset if you quit to menu?

I was trying to do this trophy on chapter 13 and 14 and ended up getting a chain of 68. However, there were no more enemies spawning and continued the chapters. I then realized that there would not be enemies for a few chapters. Can I quit to main menu and select a different chapter and keep the chain?

I looked around a bit and it seems like quitting to the menu will not reset progress, but I don't believe this has been thoroughly tested.  Chapter 25 is a good place to quickly get all the kills at once, as it has some infinite enemy spawns.  It may be easiest to just replay that chapter during cleanup if you don't get the trophy naturally during your playthrough(s).
