Am I locked out of the trophies?

Hi so basically I bought the game today and knocked out some easy trophies that I could do as my friend had all the machines built etc. A problem I have faced however is that he went to desolo and discovered and solved one of the gateways before I bought the game and when I went to desolo to get them I expected both just to pop as they were done however they did not and I can’t get them to pop. Does this mean I am locked out of getting the trophies for completing all the gateways in a single game as I technically didn’t solve it? Or does the trophy pop either way? I really hope someone can help as I don’t want to waste my time going through the whole game only to get to the end to find out I have to start from scratch. Thanks! (Hope this made sense)
