Save file corrupted?

Hey guys, I've been playing this game on ps plus and haven't had issues until today. My game froze on a loading screen so I reset the stream but now I can't load that save file at all. It says "load complete" but doesn't load the game. I can start a new game and play, but if I try to load my other save file it won't load. 

 

It seems my save file got corrupted and I'm not sure how to fix it, or if it even can be fixed. Anyone know if there's a way to backup saves of ps3 games streamed thru ps plus so I can avoid this in the future?
