Pumpkinseed help

Hi all,

 

I'm really struggling to catch a pumpkinseed. I'm on St. Lawrence River and currently at 350 fish caught and not a single pumpkinseed. I've tried thr pro tip ned bomb - grape soda tail as well as all the baby bass and big fry t that seem to catch the other little fish. I can see the pumpkinseed down there but they don't react at all to the bait i've used so far, so i'm hoping someone who's caught one can let me know what they used :).

Okay so i finally got there :). For me the issue seems to be the weight type I was using i caught it 1st attempt after swapping to a drop shot rig. I have no idea if anything else matters but full load out was:

 

Ned Bomb - Grape Soda Tail

Super FC Sniper lb Line

Drop shot righ - 1/4oz (7g)

Favorite Soleus XCS Casting - White Gold

Favorite Fire Stick Casting Rod 7ft 2in

 

Caught 3 or 4 in the next 10 casts so pretty sure this was what i was doing wrong rather than just being a fluke
