Invasion progress wipe within season???

Hi there, just picked up Mk1 today and went straight to Invasion mode. Season ends in 6 days, so i was trying to get to final boss in this time frame. Played for a bit in afternoon, got to 2nd mesa and was lvl 9 when i had to leave and shut down the Ps5.

Got a real nasty surprise a few minutes ago, when i came back to resume my invasion progress. Everything was reset...character level, rewards, coins etc...even levels were locked, as in a fresh start.

Did a quick research and other players had this issue, but i didn't find any solid info afterwards. I seriously doubt this is intended... what am i missing here? I did a proper shutdown, no hasty stuff.

Anyone here had a similar situation?

Do i have to replay from scratch everytime? (I won't if this is the way things are layed down)
