problems with combat sim and chapter 14 hard

i am currently struggling with the last trophies in rebirth.

my first problem is chapter 14 on hard mode. it seems at the end of the jenova fight, it seems to be always random, who i end up with beside cloud. usually it ends up with cloud beeing the only one with heal + magnify. i only managed to beat it once so far, with clouds mp beeing drained empty. is there any way to choose your teammembers at the end to distribute magnify?

the other problem is the combat sim. i did the first 4 on brutal, currently struggling on the 5th and its just so frustrating having to start over again, wasting 20-30 min just to get there again. also it sure has the most annoying enemies ever. any tips for the last 2 brutal would be appreciated. i havnt tried legendary yet since i figured it would be easier with götterdämmerung.

my main team usually is cloud, tifa and aerith.
materia the usual stat up, heal, revive, element etc. cloud has provoke and keeps them busy, aerith stacking her transcendence and healing, usually i controll tifa for dps.

any tips appreciated
