Challenge Quest 13 (advance combo)

I'm trying to do the infamous challenge quest 13. I can do the first to sets of combos, but the third combo is a pain in the ass. The problem is the "Direction + Square". The master always recover from the attack and he evade this move, so I can't continue with the combo. What the hell I have to do?!

 

EDIT: FINALLY!! I was able to complete the challenge with a trick. If you break the enemy guard before the combo, he can't recover on time to escape. I recommend to use a master with high stamina (I chose Beerus, God of Destruction)
