Lady Lilith
The dreaded error code 104-1852 Mario Kart 8 has proven to be a major success for the Wii U in 2014, being critically acclaimed and — more importantly — performing well at retail. A feature it introduced as new to the franchise, of course, was Mario Kart TV, in which you can save, edit and view stylish replays of races. Another option is to upload these clips to YouTube, though it seems some have been encountering issues with that aspect of the feature. In recent days some users have been complaining that when trying to upload clips they get error code 104-1852, preventing them from publishing their masterpieces on the popular video service. Over on Nintendo's tech forums a representative has replied to the recent messages to advise that an update is on the way to fix the problem. Currently, when attempting to upload a game highlight video to YouTube, some users may receive Error Code 104-1852 and the video upload may fail as a result. Nintendo is aware of this and a system update to address this issue is being prepared. We will provide a status update on our support website here once the system update is ready for release. So I'm guessing this will fix the replay thing from the DLC patch? Must be nice for people who record replays. Personally I've never really been that kind of person, I rarely even use the PS4 share function.
Demigod
Hmm, I didnt even know that this was an option. Good for those that use it though.
Lady Lilith
Wii U System Update 5.3.1 Resolves Mario Kart 8 TV YouTube IssuePosted Tue 2nd Dec 2014 01:15 by Thomas WhiteheadAlso adds sweet, sweet stability While not necessarily a feature used by many, Mario Kart 8's TV mode, allowing you to upload highlights directly to YouTube, is one of the games most modern features. That said, some users were encountering consistent errors with the feature, halting their attempts at racing stardom on the web. Nintendo promised an update to resolve the problem, but rather than issue a software-only fix has opted to fix the problem with a system update. Version 5.3.1 (add a U or E for your region) is now available, and the changelog confirms that not only is the Mario Kart TV issue resolved, but our systems are also that little bit more stable. Mario Kart 8 highlight reel upload fix: Resolved an issue that resulted in some users receiving error code 104-1852 while uploading a Mario Kart 8 highlight reel to YouTube Improvements to system stability and usability: Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience We love some stability and 'minor enhancements', though we suspect Mario Kart TV fans will be happiest with this update.
