Doing no damage against bosses

I can hit almost 1k per character against mobs that lead up to bosses. I'm on the shield boss and I'm doing a little over 100 per hit on my characters. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?

to beat bosses you HAVE to use hit, multi-hit, slow and stack them, healer and artifact buffs seem MANDATORY to stack, im at the last boss of post game and my characters have about 60 hit, if i dont boost there hit to 80~ they miss 99% of the time, divine weapon is an artifact worth looking for, forgot what its called tho
