Popular Post YTPerfectParadox
Hey everyone, i got my platinum a few hours ago and with all the vague information and general bugs in this game I thought I could offer some general tips and trophy information that I wish I had when i started, hope this helps. Tales from the eridian slab This trophy is glitchy and frustrating in two different ways. First of all what you need to know (and what my game didn't bother to tell me) is that when you have collected all of them you need to return to the slab in Sanctuary to translate the final one and it will unlock there. If you don't know where it is look for the orange coloured vendor on the map, it's near there on one of the higher floors next to Tannis. As for the bugs: Translating the final slab on Sanctuary is glitched, if it doesn't work keep pressing square to translate and eventually it will pop. This didn't happen to me but seems to be a common problem The tracker for the eridian writings is completely broken in the map view, when i was done searching everywhere i had 34/30 and for whatever reason i couldn't translate the last. It turned out that i actually missed a couple on Eden 6 without realising and because this counter was above 30 i hadn't second guessed whether i actually had them all. If you see "inspect" instead of "translate" while hovering over the sanctuary slab that means you don't have them all and should go back and check individual areas regardless of the in game counter. Additionally, for me i had the option to translate it even though i hadn't collected them all and after a few tries it returned to inspect so if that happens to you, you have definitely missed some. New game + isn't necessary for Level 50 Getting to level 50 is a lot easier in this one compared to the previous games. I was 38 by the time i finished the game and turned 50 just 2 hours before i got my platinum without going out of my way to much. There are areas in the game where the enemies scale to your level too (and they are required for the platinum) so if you dread having to do new game + like i do, you'll be happy to know it's doable without it. Firing Range You can do this in multiplayer to make it far easier. For me it only counted for the person who pressed the button but its possible that his game just bugged out. My name is Earl You don't need to buy the expensive 150E skins and whatnot and waste all your eridian for this trophy. You can just buy the gun trinkets which are generally around 50-85 plus a few other low prices items to get it. You can also just backup your save and reload it to keep all your eridian. Circles of Slaughter I personally did these solo so I'm taking a friend's word for it on this but you can join another person's game and have it count as the side quest being complete for you. Even better, if you join the game of a low level person all the enemies will scale to the host which can make it far easier to complete for both of you (returning players will be familiar with this from previous games?) and on top of this, it's actually possible to join the game of a person who's already beat the circle and have the quest count for you too just as long as they haven't turned it in yet. I sent an invitation to a friend after i left the circle when the quest had the objective "turn in" and he got the circle of slaughter trophy plus all the xp for the quest just as soon as he loaded in and i turned it in. Side missions Pick up everything you find as you find it! Side missions seemed to be very buggy for me in multiple ways - the in game counter doesn't report accurate numbers (I have my platinum and some areas are still saying i have missions to do) and even more frustrating, some quests wouldn't show up on the map if i was on that map. I would have to fast travel to sanctuary, open up the zone map, memorise where the quest was and navigate there from memory since you can't even make a custom marker unless you're in the zone. If you find yourself with little idea of where to find your last quests just start working on other trophies until you discover them since some don't unlock until you've done other things. For example working on the circle of slaughters and all the proving ground account for about 15 side quests if i remember right and as far as i can tell the proving grounds are tied to eridian writings collectibles (though i didn't confirm this) Collectibles This one's more obvious but I'd be lying if i said i didn't discover it until long after i finished the game but if you go to a zone and click L3 you can view your collectible status and if you press right on the d pad you can go over to challenges and see if there are any legendary hunts or targets of opportunities in that zone you need. There are no blanket trophies for the collectibles, if it's not listed in the trophy list you don't need it. This means you don't need to collect all the red chests, typhon logs, caches, vehicles mods and so on. Rewards Card Try to start working towards this early on. Basically you need to obtain 100 kills with every weapon manufacturer (dahl, atlas, jakobs etc) and when you do you'll receive a notification saying you've received mail from them with a free gun to enjoy. You don't need to accept this gun for the trophy so what i did was leave them all unaccepted so i could track which manufacturers i had received from. As soon as you get the 100th kill for the last manufacturer the trophy will pop. This will probably come naturally but if you tend to stick to the same sort of guns you may be left with thousands of enemies to farm for the trophy by the end so keep it in mind as you move forward. Golden key Press pause go to social and enter these under shift codes. Then go right to your mail to redeem them. Most places will be discovered just by doing all other trophies and general exploring but there are three areas that i found incredibly tedious so I posted some videos showing where they are, check below if you're missing them or hell, go get them out of the way now before they give you a headache later. The Neon Arterial one seems to be somewhat buggy and the Floodmoor Basin one is just ridiculously missable.
