Improving RDR graphics on PS3

Hey, I returned to RDR1 recently and thought the graphics look really jagged and shitty. I looked it up online and saw a topic about it which a guy recommended changing the PS3 game display settings to 720p, and it instantly improved the video quality. Just a heads up, it might be worth trying. I also messed around with the in game display settings and changed the picture settings on my tv too (sharpness/contrast). It has made a huge difference for me on my setup but mileage may vary depending on your tv possibly. Anyways, thought I'd post this here on the off chance it helps somebody else.
