How to fix trophies not popping

Both me and my brother had issues with trophies not popping and the same method fixed it both times.

 

step by step:

 

1. Go into your ship and go into the room with the machine to take you back to the first or second half of the game.

2. Turn off the game 

3. check sync status for saved data on the PlayStation dashboard for returnal 

4. Turn off and on the ps5

5. Start the game 

 

and the trophy should pop

Just tried it for my Echoing Ruins survey trophy that seems to be bugged, didn't help.

Same issue with echoing ruins survey trophy. It shows on activity card that i have 98% and missing a scout log even though i have them all in the area.

2nd boss done today and it didn't pop

i also tried this for sins of our mother or whatever and it didn't work. i don't wanna replay the whole game again and the trophy bug out again.

Risk Assessment glitched on me, so after a run ended, I got in my ship (don't have the red door unlocked yet), turned the game to offline mode, closed game, turned off PS5, waited a minute, turned it back on, and launched the game. Then the trophy unlocked!
