emptyshelf Posted May 28, 2021 Share Posted May 28, 2021 I'm sure most people have turned off the auto-sync save on the PS5 for Returnal after the save corruption issue from patch 1.3.3. However, if you haven't, I strongly suggested you disable auto-sync. When I closed the game yesterday, my PS5 hung and had to be hard shutdown. The next time I launched Returnal, my save reverted to an early state and I lost about 3 days of progress. This is with the current patch (1.3.7) installed. It seems that the single save file for Returnal actually contains backup versions as only some of my progress was missing from my local save. Fortunately, I was able to restore most of my lost progress from my online backup. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NewDust Posted May 30, 2021 Share Posted May 30, 2021 Similar thing happened to me. Hang on exit, force shutdown PS5, prompted with a save from 8~9 days back.
