How to unlock 100%

There are 5 trophies in total:

1. Record Score
2. Mark High Score
3. Score 200,000 points
4. Score 400,000 points
5. Score 600,000 points
6. Hi score player

Note: Trophy 1. (Record Score) and Trophy 2 (Mark High Score) will require that you select from the main menu 'Pulstar Original Mode'.
Step 1: Select 'Pulstar Original Mode'.
Step 2: From the games main intro, you can press the touchpad on your controller to open the menu.
Step 3: From the menu, select difficulty 'LEVEL 1'. A higher difficulty will not be required. The game will inform you that a reset is required.
The game will ask you if you wish to continue? Press X to confirm the changes.
Step 4: Press start to play and when your ship rolls onto screen, press the touchpad and enter the in-game menu.
Step 5: At the top of the menu will be the option that you can select called 'Create Interrupt Save' (This is the manual save function)
Step 6: Make a save by pressing X to confirm.
Step 7: Now play the game and destroy as many enemies and collect as many pick-ups as you possibly can. (Note: A shield pick up will appear on the nose of your ship and will diminish any projectiles that hit it, however this is exclusive protection for the front of the ship, some enemies may angle shots around the nose of the ship in close proximity)
Step 8: Save regularly in smaller increments depending on how well you frequently destroy enemies. Reload your save if you play badly.
Step 9: It is imperative that you do not die while accumulating your score. So it is important that when you do, you press the touchpad and select the option 'Back to title screen' and select 'Original mode' again from the title screen, for this will return you to your last save.

(Also: Do not use P2. When you enter a P2 into the game and die, the score will reset. Play solo)

When you reach 600,000 points, all 3 trophies (3. Score 200,000 points 4. Score 400,000 points 5. Score 600,000 points) will pop in game, you can end the gameplay here and crash your ship if you want to. The game will now ask you if you want to continue and will give you 10 seconds. Simply wait until the timer runs out and you will be asked to enter a 3 letter name i.e. aaa and then press END to continue. The game will then proceed to ask you if you want to post your score online. Press X to say 'Yes' and both trophies (1. Record Score 2. Mark High Score) will pop.

For trophy no.6 (Hi score player) you must return to the main menu and select 'Hi score mode' and keep in mind that you must not press the touchpad when you play this mode for this will end the run and end your high score. You must score 100 000. This should be relatively easy since you can achieve this by completing the first level. You can not die in the first level if you wish to do only the first level. When you reach the second level, you can crash the plane and the game will end the round and ask you if you wish to upload your hi score. Select 'Yes' by pressing X and the trophy will pop.

 

Important note 1: Charging your guns will do significant large damage. Use charged shots on large enemies.

Important note 2: If you have a turbo controller this game is completely broken since the shots rapid fire speed is determined by how much you mash into a gauge.
