Question about killing the priest

I'm currently doing my first (and hopefully only) playthrough of this game. 

I killed the priest during Mary's fight, but then she killed me before the fight ended, therefore I had to try again. The second time, I did not kill him.

Unfortunately I read about that voiding the trophy after doing this.

 

I'm not particularly enjoying this game that much so I was wondering if I am safe, or even after I lost to her and had to try again, the game has saved that choice and I'm screwed?

EDIT: For anyone else wondering, yes, it does void the "Not even once" trophy.
