If your mission/quest is bugged, how to reset it?

I just read while logging off or going to the start screen for 10 minutes will reset some maps. I'm trying now.

I just lost like 8 hours today because I deleted the save and last savedata was 11 lvls above and several missions behind. I was at the final boss, by the way.

I'm in the last couple of missions and now one quest is completely bugged, telling me to kill enemies but the entire map is a death desert and nobody to find.

 

Does anyone got this same problem on this game? BTW this is the first time one of my missions is bugged.

 

EDIT: Yes, it worked. My quest was at 80% but after 10 minutes being off log, the map resets with every enemy. It's a self-defense automatic mechanism on Torchlight III and thanks God it works.

If not, I was planning to die and losing all my good gear,and try that way. Everything but restarting again the story from scratch.
