How to fix: Memorial lane bookshelf, game freezes

Every time i try and open the bookshelf with the key the game completely freezes. Any ideas on how to fix?

 

and offc this is the only thing im missing for the completionist trophy…. Good god

 

edit: i figured out how to fix the issue. I figured that the bookshelf crashed into me and thats why the game froze, but that was not the case since if opens away from you. The game froze 4 times before i needed to think outside the box.

 

the way to fix is to lean you head forward till an illusion shows the blue key symbol in the keyhole, and then throw the key inside, i tested twice, and worked both times.

 

hope this may help anyone with similar issue! It really had me worried.
