Puffy-Eyed Fish Does Not Show Up

I've been running through the hydro lab for hours trying to get one of these from the trash piles. Is there a trick or something for getting them to spawn because all I've gotten is bugs and moss.

Ok well here's a tip for getting the food items to spawn. You can quit out to the main menu since the game autosaves every level and reload back in. The layout will be the same and doesn't change, but the loot in a trash pile does. So if you find a level with a trash pile, loot it, and if it doesn't contain the food item that you need just quit to the main menu then hit continue and you'll be back in. You just need to keep doing this until the trash pile gives you the item you need.

 

The trophy guide doesn't mention this, but it's much quicker to do it this way than just going floor by floor since not all floors have a trash pile.
