Racing for 20hs Trophy

Guys, i´m thinking about leaving 2 players idle in split screend mode local in a single standard rance to count towards that trophy for racing for 20hs. Is that possible with only 2 players and no A.I.? I´m mean, ofcourse i´d disable the feature to turn off the controller after a while, surely.

 

Did anybody do something about it? Is there some kind of workaround it or something to make this trophy less tiresome? What about training mode? Can i leave the controller idle there to count time for the trophy? In the description says only time attack is excluded to count time for the trophy. I don´t even know where i can see the time spent racing.

You need 3 controllers, so if you can stop any going idle you could potentially do it in one go.

 

I've tried using a turbo controller spamming X, estimate with load times this will do 4 hours of racing every 7 hours. Not the quickest, but it just got me the 10 hour trophy last night.
