Thinking about going for 100%

  • 2 weeks later...

Go for it, but it will be a grind and a half because of the class system in these games. Here's a few tips to help...

Get all the Games: This will help in the process of dealing with the harder challenges, like playing 100 hours and 1000 times. There are 32 games in the first Stadium and 35 and the second Stadium (Three Wonders counts as a separate game for each of them in it - that's why there are 35 games overall in the 2nd Stadium).

Do the Challenges: A recent update for the 1st Stadium (and standard on the 2nd Stadium) has given all the games three different challenges: A Score Challenge, A Time Challenge and 2-4 Special Challenges with different rules in place. The Score Challenges are tougher then the Time Challenges because you have to reach the target score on one credit - some games have some pretty high bars to meet there. Time Challenges, on the other hand, give you the chance to continue your game. Special Challenges are the real wild cards as they can range from having you beat the game at the highest difficulty, highest speed, upside down, limited ammo or another time based challenge.

Keep an eye out for Bonus Campaigns: Bonus Campaigns give extra points to certain games every week. Here's the breakdown for both games...

Capcom Arcade Stadium

The format goes Shooter games, Action games, Fighting games, then back to Shooter games. Currently, it is action games with the bonus campaign.

That means the following games give out extra points: Pirate Ship Higemaru, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Trojan, Bionic Commando, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Strider, Dynasty Wars, Final Fight, Mega Twins, Captain Commando, Warriors of Fate, Powered Gear and Battle Circuit

Next week is the Fighting games, which are: Street Fighter II, Cyberbots, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting and Super Street Fighter II Turbo

The following week is Shooter games, which are: Vulgus, 1942, Commando, Section Z, Legendary Wings, 1943, Forgotten Worlds, 1941 Counter Attack, Mercs, Carrier Airwing, Varth: Opertation Thunderstorm, 19XX: The War against Destiny, Giga Wing, 1944 The Loop Master and Progear

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium

The format is similar, with a few twists. Puzzle and Sports are combined with Shooters. Otherwise, it's the same with Shooter/Puzzle/Sports, Action and then Fighting.

That means the following games give out extra points this week: Avengers, Black Tiger, Tiger Road, Rally 2011 LED Storm, Magic Sword, Three Wonders [Midnight Wanderers], The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Mega Man the Power Battle and Mega Man 2 the Power Fighters

Next week is fighting games, which are: Street Fighter, Saturday Night Slam Masters, Darkstalkers, Night Warriors, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Vampire Savior, Super Gem Fighter, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Hyper Street Fighter II

The following week is Shooter/Puzzle/Sports, which are: Sonson, Savage Bees, GunSmoke, The Speed Rumbler, Hyper Dyne Side Arms, 1943 Kai, Last Duel, Three Wonders [Chariot and Don't Pull], Eco Fighters, Block Block, Pnickies, Super Puzzle Fighter II and Capcom Sports Club
