Tips to fight Boss

What can you do to increase your chances into a fight ?

1) Increase your level and skills :

• Kill all enemies on map.
• Test attacks on different types of enemies to learn to be versatile.
• You can increase the difficulty to gain more experience and better stuff.

2) Upgrade your weapons and armor :

• Enemies have weapons weakness. Learn what are their weakness and use weapon strong against them (slash, blunt or magic).
• Armor increase your resistance against damages. I evade mostly, but it may be usefull to stay alive if you get hit.
• Some weapons have special effect (poison, stun, ...). Try them if you can to deal more damages.

3) Learn their patterns to evade (mystical dodge)

• If you can evade and not receive damage or reduce damage, then do it.
• Use blind spot if you find them.
• If you don't evade, some boss can chain you and you are dead. Keep moving.

4) Boss weak spot

• Each boss have a weak spot where damage it much more than dealing basic damages. You will have a popup saying this is it's weakness, so keep trying.
• If you can attack this spot with a weapon strong against it, you can deal much more damage.
• Some boss' weakness is the back (Lon Lon -> Tail / Back, Venefica Isabel -> Back / Stomach)

5) Use every thing you have

• Even if you use every object you have, it will be worth it if you win.

 

What you should do before fighting a boss :

• SAVE !!! Most basic action, but some have forgotten.
• Return to your home to increase your abilities (stuff, skills, ...).
• Stock items (heal, ...)

 

If you fail, you can try again.

You probably did not used a good strategy or didn't find the boss' weakness to kill it easily.

 

Examples of boss fight :

• Lon Lon (win) : evade and attack it's back or tail.
• Kuli (win) : evade and attack it's face. I don't know if it's a bug, but if you keep standing in front of it and attack it, it will charge you but you won't take damage. You can chain him 4-5 times before getting hit at least 1 time. When it try to jump, if you attack it then it fail and is stunned. Keep the attacks and he will be down quickly.
• Holy Valkyrie "Gabrielle" (failed) : rushed at her and dodged her attacks. Almost got her, but she did a large attack and one shot Hundred Knight.
• Holy Valkyrie "Gabrielle" (win) : learned skill to invoke soldiers. They rushed and ganged up on her, and she fell on the floor. Just had to kick her while she was down. Rinse and repeat.
• Venefica "Isabel" (failed) : Same win strategy against Gabrielle. Failed because Isabel keep invoking mobs.
• Venefica "Isabel" (win) : Learn skill bomb soldier. Invoke soldiers as shield meat. Invoke the bomb bellow Isabel (weakspot). It deal almost 1k damage against 100 normally. Evade and put bomb. Bomb also hurt you, so get away from it. Rinse and repeat.

 

I haven't finished the game at this moment, but all boss should have a weakness you can exploit to defeat them.

In case you are stuck, you can reduce the difficulty (or increase it like I did).

 

Those tips can also be used in many others games.

It's up to you to find the strategy you are more comfortable with.
