Beat the game with the Defect but trophy (Sapphire) didn't pop

Anyone else run into this with any particular character.

 

I first beat the game with Silent and the trophy (Emerald) popped.  Then I beat it with Defect but the trophy (Sapphire) didn't pop.

 

I only realised a few days later.  I double checked on the character selection screen and I can see Ascension mode (level 1) is available for both these characters.

 

Now I'm struggling to beat the game with Defect again.  lol.  Annoying.

If I were you I would not think about it and just try to play and get the sapphire trophy while trying to get the sapphire+ trophy after beating the heart.

If it still don't pop, finish the rest of the trophies and delete the game, re-install it and try again to make it pop.
