And yes, I have beaten the game already. Both selecting the chapter and starting a NG+ again do not unlock the path which remains blocked from rocks. Did they change anything since the last patch? or is it a perma glitch for the save? EDIT: I can confirm that the patch has indeed changed this part. Rather than pass through the crack you have to proceed normally, past the puzzle room with the hearts. After taking the door in this room, make it past the sawblade and at the end of the corridor rather than proceed right, turn left and at the end you will find the angel.
