[PS4 only] Hidden debug menu - Instant race win, mission clear, and more!

Just like the title suggests, there is a debug menu hidden in this game. And it's surprisingly easy to access: Just pause the game, press L3 + R3 and hold them for around 3 seconds. That's it! Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work on the PS3 version of Motorcycle Club, only on the PS4 version.

 

Here's how you instantly win a race.

1) Pause the game immediately after the "Go!" disappears.
2) Press L3 + R3 and hold them for 3 seconds; the debug menu appears.
3) Scroll down to [MotorcycleClub] and press right on the d-pad.
4) Scroll even further down to the option [Race] and press right on the d-pad again.
5) Chose the option "End Race" and press X.
6) If your race time on the following screen is something below 3.50 seconds, you should be golden.

7) Close the debug menu again with L3 + R3 and then press X to proceed further. You'll see the results screen for both rankings afterwards and should be 1st in both.

 

Bonus: This even works on the Constructers Challenges, just follow the steps above and you'll instantly win the challenge. Makes the "Constructors' pet" trophy a breeze.

But we can take this a step further and combine the instant race win with an instant mission clear (for a much easier and faster way to achieve the tournament trophies and the "Sponsored" trophy).

 

1) Pause the game immediately after the "Go!" disappears.
2) Press L3 + R3 and hold them for 3 seconds; the debug menu appears.
3) Scroll down to [MotorcycleClub] and press right on the d-pad.

4) Scroll even further down to the option [Missions] and press right on the d-pad again.

5) Press X on the option "Complete Missions". Nothing will happen at first glance, but that's ok.
4) Now scroll back up to the option [Race] and press right on the d-pad again.
5) Chose the option "End Race" and press X.
6) If your race time on the following screen is something below 3.50 seconds, you should be golden.

7) Close the debug menu again with L3 + R3 and then press X to proceed further. You'll see the results screen for both rankings afterwards and should be 1st in both. The missions will clear immediately after that, and should be replaced with a set of new ones.

8) Clear each necessary tournament race like this and you'll earn the tournament trophies and "Sponsored" in no time. Watch out for the missable trophy "Short and sweet" while you're doing this.

9) Once you have "Sponsored", you can skip the part for completing the missions, and go straight for the race win each time.

 

Here's a short clip of how this looks like in-game. If you go through Tournament mode like this, you can clear each tier in just a few minutes.

And you can even pop some trophies with the help of the debug menu, here's how it works.

 

1) Pause the game immediately after the "Go!" disappears.

2) Press L3 + R3 and hold them for 3 seconds to open up the debug menu.

3) Scroll down to the option [MotorcycleClub] and press right on the d-pad.

4) Scroll even further down to the option [Championship] and press right on the d-pad again.

5) Select "Unlock All" and press X. this will instantly unlock the trophy "What? More?".

6) Now scroll even further down to the option [Race] and press right on the d-pad again.
7) Chose the option "End Race" and press X, then press L3 + R3 to close the debug menu again and then X to proceed further.

8) After the results screen every trophy related to the gold medals will unlock (six in total).

9) If you've done everything correctly, the following five trophies should also unlock afterwards:

- "I'm back!" (Finish a race at least one lap ahead of an opponent.)

- "By a nose" (Finish a race less than 0.1 s ahead of an opponent.)

- "Ace" (Finish first in the two rankings of a race. )

- "Jackpot" (Earn at least 3,000 credits at the end of a race.)

- "That much?!" (Earn at least 5,000 credits at the end of a race.)

10) With 12 trophies unlocked, the current game progress should now be at 26% (assuming you did this right after booting the game up for the very first time).

 

Personally, I'd recommend doing this once you got most of the game's other trophies, not at the very beginning. Just use the instant race win option to quickly clear Tournament mode (and get "Short and sweet"), then use the steps above to get the remaining gold medal trophies to finish off Tournament mode. If you're fast, you should easily be able to clear the entirety of Tournament Mode in under 2 hours.

Thanks for the tip. It worked. Now only the online trophies and i'm done

I used "Unlock All" after getting What? More? but it didn't give me any trophy besides the one for getting all gold medals. It also locked me out of Constructors' pet and The King of shopping. So I had to start over.

 

Anyways. To make By a nose easier open the debug menu, go to "KTU" > "Time" > select "Slow" one time. This will change "TimeFactor" to 0.5000000. But do this at the end of a race, e.g. after the last corner at Cosby Coast. It makes it easier to fiddle with the distance to the AI in 2nd place.

 

If you don't want to play the game longer than absolutely necessary, set the "TimeFactor" to 200 and watch the minutes fly. Time Trial and Quit Race works, after you got the time you went for.

 

If you have problems to get Can't get worse or just want it done quickly, proceed as if you wanted to instantly win a race. When it says "Finish" accelerate your bike. 2-3 seconds should be enough. Then click through the results screens. You should be on the last place and the trophy will pop. Setting "Reverse enabled" to OFF (Race menu, just below End Race) might work too but I haven't tried that.
