I've done a lot of different walkthroughs for this, but they have all been pretty beginner friendly in order to be accessible as much as they can, like I normally do. But with my love for the game and the series, I've always wanted to platinum this in 1 playthrough for a potential world record as it is possible, just quite the challenge!! One thing is you need the Unlockables DLC to complete this in 1 playthrough as it unlocks Inferno early, otherwise it's a minimum 3 playthroughs. Then buying the DLC and doing the simple part, next up is doing Inferno mode with no box, collecting 100% everything, no healing and under 2 hour for S rank!! The current record world best that we know for a RE3 platinum is 2 hours 13 minutes if we go by the PS4 board and I know somebody has done 100% achievements in about 1 hour 52 minutes or so PC. I have to go by PS4 as the PS5 board just has loads of 1 second platinum times due to autopop The autopop times can be annoying when it comes to competing for leaderboard times, basically if autopop exists, then no leaderboard timing. There is a easier way to do it but slightly longer where you do assisted no box and then inferno with the bonus weapons afterwards. So 2 playthroughs, that's what the PS4 top achiever has done (02:13:00), the beginner way, but of course, we want to be as fast as possible!! At the moment, I can do this in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes and perhaps the most troublesome part is the Substation with the drain deimos enemies due to its RNG. The rest, although takes some experience, becomes a lot cleaner. The text guide below only shows what i collect during the run, there are a few extra items and a lot of healing items, I just don't mention them. Even if you don't plan to do this, the guide below can still be useful as its shows everything required for platinum and how best to deal with each encounter on the highest difficulty, so works for all! Timer is continued when reloaded from the game over screen, but resets from any other load options. Lock 2/20. – Substation Power Area – As soon as you get poisoned due to story events, go through the gate to alert the enemies, and then heal once. Using the HG, kill the 1st enemy that comes for you. Now run to the fork and shoot the far transformer to the left to kill the enemy beside it. Run down the left path and dodge/kill the enemy hiding on the ceiling to the right. Activate the middle Generator, then the far left. Sprint between them and be cautious of any enemies following you. If you near any while activating the lever, release straight away and dodge/kill then resume. With the 1st and 2nd generator activated, now go back to the initial fork and now activate the far middle generator. Again, being cautious of anu enemies along the way. Enter the nearby gate to enter a safe place and to make your way to the final generator. Fancy Box 2/3 - Red Jewel. File 15/56 - Chad's Notes. Crate - HG x 10. Now kill the next 2 zombies with a LH x 1 and get past them quickly. Wait for Nemesis and stun him with the transformer. Dodge next zombie and run against the blocked door in its left corner with the camera looking at the door and Nemesis should run up and knock the zombie out the way without attacking you. Alternatively, kill the zombie blocking the door with LH x 1 into his back. – Garage Backroom – Lock 4/20. – Upper + Lower Street – Dodge the enemies at the top, then stun Nemesis with the transformer at the bottom. Now hit him with FR x 1 once the fire wears off and then SS x 7, then reload. This should deal enough damage to cause him to roar indicating he will start to run around the outer perimeter. Straight away, Shoot MR x 1 onto the front of the bus, switch to FR and equip the shotgun, then go and get the shotgun shells behind it. HG x 20. SS x 14. Once he runs into the mine and gets stunned, run up to him and blast his weak spot with SG x 6 (don’t hit him with a flame round when he is stunned). Reload then use FR x 1 once he recovers followed by SS x 6. When he begins running around again, shoot MR x 1 at the bus and get ready with a FR x 1 to his weak spot for when he gets knocked down, then unload SS x 6. File 40/56 - Note about a Tape Recording. – Treatment Room Corridor – KIll the pale head with AR x 20. – Linen Room – AR x 20. – Treatment Room – Run in keeping to the left and punch the immediate beta hunter away to the right, to give you a clear exit, then immediately throw a Flash Grenade x 1. Now quickly go and grab the item below while the hunters are stunned. Audiocassette Tape. As soon as you get the tape, perform a 180 and throw another Flash Grenade x 1. If quick enough, the hunters should be just recovering from the previous flash and allow you to stun them in the same place before they get chance to move, keeping the exit path clear. Now exit the room carefully before the hunters recover. – Upstairs Hallway – AR x 20. Before jumping down, stay here for 10 seconds to give the 2 hunters that followed you into the Linen Room, enough time for them to de-aggro and go back into their initial room. The reason for this is because we do not want a beta hunter in the Linen Room waiting for Jill and I believe that if you jump down to the Courtyard with a hunter in the Linen Room, then it will stay in there! – Operating Room – HG x 8. Flash Grenade x 1. – Lobby Siege 2 – Be ready to throw a Hand Grenade x 1 at the southern window once the beta hunter jumps through, shortly after the shutter has descended halfway. Save the final Flash Grenade for the final phase where you must set the detonator. You can use the transformer outside the sickroom door straight away to stun the zombies to begin with. AR x 60. Trophy 16/33 - Kendo's Armory - Collect all weapons in the campaign. OBJECTIVE - Head to the underground facility. – Reception – Lock 16/20. – Reception Hallway – Lock 17/20 - LH x 4 (grab these on the way back). – Bard's Lab – Explosive B. ACR x 2 - Combine Explosive B x 2. – Emergency Entrance – Enter to see a beta hunter come through the door ahead, wait for it to get close before you fire MR x 2 to kill the hunter along with the zombies behind the glass panes as well. Then finish off the licker with your remaining MR and SS if you need to. If you saw a saving icon after using the MR, it's because it destroyed the Charlie Doll in th Sickroom. Kill the zombie that came in through the double doors with SS x 1 if still alive. Enter the Sickroom via the double doors. – Sickroom – High-Grade Gunpowder x 1. LH x 2 - Combine High-Grade Gunpowder x 2. For stage 2, begin with LH x 1, then rotate the stick and spam X to recover quickly, then use LH x 2 quickly. Now quickly shoot with FR x 1 before he runs off followed by ER x 3. This should stunlock him and kill him, the timing to shoot grenade rounds is after his head resets and faces you again. Too early or too late and he will get away. Once you have shot the FR x 1 and ER x 3, continue using this ammo in the same pattern to keep him stunlocked. Keep doing this until you have used FR x 7 & ER x 21 (so do this grenade cycle 7 times). He should be dead at this point, but if not, use another FR x 1 followed by SS x 3+ for the kill. Once he runs into the mine and gets stunned, run up to him and blast his weak spot with SG x 6 (don’t hit him with a flame round when he is stunned). SS x 16. HG x 16. Once you have the loot, shoot the boss with FR x 1. Now knock the boss into stage 2 with SS x 9. For stage 2, shoot with LH x 1 before he begins the roar. Rotate the stick and spam X to recover from the roar quicker, them quickly shoot with LH x 2. Now quickly switch to FR x 1 and shoot him before he runs off. Then shoot with ER x 3 once he recovers. This should stunlock him and kill him, the timing to shoot grenade rounds is after his head resets and faces you again. Too early or too late and he will get away. Once you have shot the FR x 1 and ER x 3, continue using this ammo in the same pattern to keep him stunlocked. Keep doing this until you have used FR x 8 & ER x 27 (so do this grenade cycle 9 times). He should be dead at this point, but if not, use another FR x 1 followed by SS x 6 or ER x 3 for the kill. Now run to the fork and shoot the far transformer to the left to kill the enemy beside it. Run down the left path and dodge/kill the enemy hiding on the ceiling to the right. Activate the middle Generator, then the far left. Sprint between them and be cautious of any enemies following you. If you near any while activating the lever, release straight away and dodge/kill then resume. With the 1st and 2nd generator activated, now go back to the initial fork and now activate the far middle generator. Again, being cautious of anu enemies along the way. Enter the nearby gate to enter a safe place and to make your way to the final generator. File 15/56 - Chad's Notes. Activate the final generator and then escape. If you ever need to heal, use R/G mix. – Control Room – Turn on the power. Straight away, Shoot MR x 1 onto the front of the bus, switch to FR and equip the shotgun, then go and get the shotgun shells behind it. SS x 14. Once he runs into the mine and gets stunned, run up to him and blast his weak spot with SG x 6 (don’t hit him with a flame round when he is stunned). Reload then use FR x 1 once he recovers followed by SS x 6. When he begins running around again, shoot MR x 1 at the bus and get ready with another SS x 6 to his weak spot when he gets knocked down which should finish him off with FR x 1 and SS x 6+. GH x 1. Now knock the boss into stage 2 with SS x 9. For stage 2, shoot with LH x 1 before he begins the roar. Rotate the stick and spam X to recover from the roar quicker, them quickly shoot with LH x 2. Now quickly switch to FR x 1 and shoot him before he runs off. Then shoot with ER x 3 once he recovers. This should stunlock him and kill him, the timing to shoot grenade rounds is after his head resets and faces you again. Too early or too late and he will get away. Once you have shot the FR x 1 and ER x 3, continue using this ammo in the same pattern to keep him stunlocked. Keep doing this until you have used FR x 5 & ER x 15 (so do this grenade cycle 5 times). He should be dead at this point, but if not, use another FR x 1 followed by SS x 6 or ER x 3 for the kill.
