Dying but reloading the save for A rank?

So am looking for someone to tell me who has gotten the A rank if something bad happens like say I get killed out the blue can I just pick no on the retry screen and reload that half way save that you get for free as a way to get back into the game and keep going? I only want to know as I hope to try and get the A rank but want to know if I can at all negate having to do the whole game from the start again as if say I mess up can't I just reload that save again and go from there to beat the game and the death not count and still get the A rank

Yes, dying and reload your save from main menu doesn't ruin your A rank.

 

I remember dying in Claire section when I try to get the crystall ball key (the damn crane lol), and reload the save. still get the A rank.
