King Trophy

I finished the game on normal and found all of the items.

Now, if I want the King trophy, can I do it on the same file?  I noticed that I was able to change the difficulty at any time.  It would be nice to be able to take advantage of all the cheats I unlocked right from the start of a hard run.

However, I don't want to go through all the stages again with a new setting, and have it all be for nothing if it turns out I had to start a brand new file with hard as the difficulty setting from the get-go.

Any information would be much appreciated!

Decided to take the risk and answer my own question. 

You can indeed use the same file!  So if anyone doesn't feel like going through the aggravation of hard mode without the benefits of invincibility (and I wouldn't blame you based on how many of those damned bugs and shadow creatures they throw at you), then you can unlock everything on easy, switch to hard mode on the same file, and breeze through the last trophy at your leisure.
