All Rounder Abilities

I know this game is old AF but can anyone tell me if, when you use an ability, it has to counter something or cause some effect on the AI controlled players? For instance, if I use Animus Shield with no one around, does that count as a use?  I’m doing everything in solo Wolfpack and it’s not always obvious when your ability use doesn’t satisfy a challenge.

Just using the ability is enough to count for All Rounder. The only ability you can’t use in Wolfpack is Bodyguard since you need to have a pursuer on you for it to work.

Thanks for the response. I was aware of the bodyguard use that you mentioned, though I did hear that it could be used against the infected when they pursue you. I’ll give that a try before moving into the adversarial multiplayer.
