Do enemies respawn? If so is it in certain places?

I've read that enemies don't respawn but in their latest patch, enemies do but not everywhere.

As the trophy list have quite a few 'kill x enemies' in certain ways do any of them become missables?

 

Also the dark and light choices in the game, do they affect anything regarding getting any trophies?

EDIT for others: While playing and thoroughly exploring the world I had noticed areas that I have passed previously some enemies do respawn frequently enough. Hopefully they respawn near the location that's surounded by oil for when I do that drown 5 enemies in oil trophy. Also I noticed you do need Level 30 of light choices for a specific kill trophy but even though I'm only 1/3rd through the game I've already got level 30 of each which is enough requirement for any of the PSI powers and for that one trophy.
