Baka_Marimo Posted March 18, 2023 Share Posted March 18, 2023 I think PD are afraid of the negative press a server shutdown for this game would cause, seeing how they've decided to go down the live service route with GT7. Unless they release some sort of end of life patch that removes the always online requirement, GT Sport will be rendered useless once they sunset the online services. Keep in mind that you can't even save your progress without an online connection. People are going to point at GTS and say "See? One day this will happen to GT7 as well." This is in my mind the main reason why GT Sport has its servers still going. GT5 and GT6 had their servers shut down less than half a year after their respective successors came out, yet here we are over a year after GT7's release and GTS is still online. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
